  1. Completely unnecessary and immature to put that last bit in, have a word with yourself. Mr Proctor is riding superbly and as a Lynn fan he's had me eating my words since our first meeting. Also great to see Bewley scoring big in the CL, what a prospect.
  2. So you are saying that the away side have no choice and have to fulfil the fixture when they are told to?
  3. My thoughts are that being on Wednesdays rather than Thursdays is proving to be a major problem now that the Danish league has got going. Somebody somewhere should have had more balls.
  4. Bjerre and MPT obviously signed after fixtures were scheduled but even so this match should never have been planned on a night when three others were missing. As others have said if there aren't suitable Wednesdays it should have been on a Monday, even if riders don't like flying back to the UK in between Poland and Sweden.
  5. I'm going to leave it there because with all due respect it's difficult to reason with somebody who is only interesed in running the club down at any opportunity.
  6. I can't imagine they won't tell people in advance of riders are in Denmark. The worry of course is trying to fit in the postponed early season fixtures on nights when riders aren't in Denmark.
  7. Lambert's third to first burst was almost coincidental, Morris and Proctor tussling for the whole four laps was what made it so good. More of that this season please .
  8. In which case surely you must get the reasoning behind starting at 19:45? I understand what you say about being bothered though....if you add into the mix the cost, often dodgy weather, teams turning up understrength, our team being understrength and other sport on telly it's often easier and less risk to stay at home whereas years ago people went come what may. In general speedway promotions need to do and offer more to get people out of their front door and to the stadium.
  9. Going on our performances so far this season you would have to fancy us to overturn the deficit, especially if Leicester can't replace King adequately. However the Lions are still a decent and fancied team so it could go either way.
  10. The word 'law' was used as a metaphor in my post. Whatever contracts were signed first, the fact is that the UK agreed with the rest of the speedway world that they would have priority on Mondays and Thursdays, not Wednesday's. And then went back on it. As Najjer says why not hold this meeting on a Thursday anyway?
  11. My guess on Lambert is that once the BSPA allowed the Thursday CL clubs to get their own way they had to cut a deal with Denmark (who of course have priority on Wednesdays) in terms of British riders missing fixtures to ride over there. Which would have included Robert having to miss the PLRC tonight. One hopes he won't be made to miss any Lynn home meetings but if he does the law is on Denmark's side.
  12. And I think there are a lot of people in the same boat. It's a rural area and many fans travel 20+ miles to get to speedway, lots of them after work making a 7:30 start difficult to get to.
  13. Different airport so irrelevant. As somebody has said if Masters' flight was delayed seven hours he wouldn't have arrived on time either. Not sure why some people have to stick the boot in and apportion blame when there is no need, especially those who support the club and claim to want the best for it.
  14. And landing at East Midlands. Can't imagine those flights are particularly frequent?
  15. True, although it's probably best not to tar every situation with the same brush especially when the evidence is there for all to see online in this instance. People blaming the rider when it's clear that he had no control over the situation is just silly and doesn't help anybody.
  16. There is no way that this Poole team is as bad as their results so far, they either aren't putting in 100% or its all a carefully planned averages fiddle. Criminal either way.
  17. That's certainly something to bowl at, all credit to the team. Perhaps predictable that heats 13 & 15 would be tough with no Robert but a six point loss is turnoverable. Not bad at all.
  18. I think Henry's post sums it up, it was just very bad luck. As for the meeting itself the Stars are doing ok, just two down at the interval.
  19. I'm sure that's what kids being free is trying to achieve at Lynn. Great idea by Notts, would be nice if speedway could let everyone in for a pound but can't see it unfortunately.
  20. It is, but that's last year. This year both meetings have been done in 100 minutes or less have they not?
  21. You are a very cynical fellow. How did he do it then, slip the pilot a tenner to delay the flight
  22. Delayed flights happen, that's life. Nobody's fault, just circumstances. But why should the paying public suffer?
