  1. You got your wish Masters was very poor, and like us at Belle Vue last week Somerset were in the right place at the right time to cash in. That said we had the meeting sewn up for a couple of laps of heat fourteen before Lewi's uncharacteristic fall but that's speedway. Thought the racing was good, one or two strung out heats but plenty of good tussles and close finishes.
  2. I read the 'poor thing' comment as totally sincere personally.
  3. Another competitive away performance. Have to be disappointed not to pick up a point but with Iversen missing and no guest 41 points isn't a bad effort. Need to get TJ going.
  4. We may not be the most talented side but you can't accuse this Lynn team of lacking heart or bottle.
  5. I could be wrong but I believe some new, different shale was first used on ' that night' v Poole and ever since that meeting the racing has been better on the new stuff.
  6. I always try and post without Stars specs on and I can honestly say if this were Brady Kurtz having to have a fortnight off I wouldn't want Poole to go without a facility. The two weeks need to begin and end somewhere, it was inevitable that it would start directly after a GP and/Poland as they will always be riders priorities. He is missing Swedish matches and the whole of SoN not just the UK and we are hardly strengthened by his absence. I don't believe there is any mickey taking going on and nor would it do anyone any good to have three points riding at number one for anybody.
  7. Getting emotional on social media right after a bad result is never a good idea.
  8. Whoever is or isn't riding for a live tv match, charging full admission is obtuse thinking IMO. There has to be some kind of offer to encourage people to go rather than sit at home and watch it.
  9. Indeed, thunderstorms forecast for most of the day but they said the same of Friday and nothing happened. Would expect the forecast to change a couple of times before Wednesday evening anyway!
  10. Great idea, I'm sure a three pointer at number one will have the punters flocking through the turnstyles.
  11. He's taking a fortnight out to get his shoulder sorted and missing a Swedish fixture and the SON as well as the UK in that time, don't see the issue personally. At least he's not picking and choosing from week to week like Pedersen..
  12. Indeed but petty jibes when they don't win are unnecessary. It's good that a promotion are willing and able to invest in a club to improve it and its stadium for the paying customer. Harris, Starke and Sarjeant have been very disappointing and should be doing better.
  13. Shame about the money digs but utterly predictable unfortunately. Well done Edinburgh. Glasgow have some serious underachievment in their ranks and seem unable to her everyone going on the same day.
  14. Magic turned back into Emil for me, pretty clear cut. Thought Freddie was ruthless but not dirty for me, Tai was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Haven't seen any evidence at all of moaning and groaning from him, Pearson was gobbling off about Woffinden not being happy and waiting for Freddie etc but he seems to have taken it on the chin. Other than that it was a poor, poor GP.
  15. From what it says in the SS he's going to have intensive physio rather than an op.
  16. I don't think it's odd, riders don't miss GP's unless they absolutely have to. The Pairs thingy provides a good window to have the operation.
  17. Iversen is having a shoulder operation next week.
  18. We have done well on the road this season and should be going to Rye looking for a point as a minimum. After two horrendous performances there last year we are owed a good showing especially live on telly.
  19. Precisely, they don't know you. They can only go by what is written on here and if they haven't been on the forum long or didn't know you as screamer they will form an opinion on what they have recently read. I don't think anyone's opinion is more important than anyone else's but those who are over positive or over negative will get challenged. Nothing wrong with that as long as it doesn't get personal or abusive. The bottom line is that we all care about our club and our sport otherwise we wouldn't be on here.
  20. If people continually spout negativity and stay silent when there is good stuff to comment on then they must expect to get challenged, you must accept that? I think the majority of people recognise that their are positives and negatives and comment a accordingly. It's all about balance.
  21. Whether FRN works or not it's not difficult to see why it was implemented ie double uppers not having their UK meetings clashing and originally for UK top league fixtures to not clash with meetings in other countries until the Wednesday/Thursday/Denmark mess. If it doesn't work then fair enough but at least they are trying to solve a problem which many punters had identified. And I'm not a BSPA apologist, they get plenty wrong.
