  1. One would suspect that the addition of Mr Brundle will result in that 'shortfall' being made up, however much that may be. Not sure how any of us who post on here can know with too much accuracy what the financial state of the club is anyway.
  2. This. MPT did enough last year to warrant consideration for 2018 IMO and Proctor is an uninspiring name unfortunately, even considering how well he used to ride Lynn back in the day. That said Iversen at one, Kerr at reserve and a brand new Dane are positive propositions so it's far from being all doom and gloom.
  3. Williamson is a shrewd signing, get him dialled in at home and his average will only go one way.
  4. I'm pretty sure that they said the club would hold FURTHER talks with Lambert on Radio Norfolk this afternoon.
  5. That team looks awfully weak, but speedway is raced on shale not paper so we shall see. Looks like cannon fodder for the likes of Ipswich, Glasgow and Lakeside though.
  6. He could be as average as he likes if he's the fifth ranked rider! Agree about the reserves though, no team with two 2 pointers is going to 'romp' any league.
  7. He promised much when he was younger and of course made it into the GP's but has never got anywhere near the level his potential suggested he might.
  8. Not for Lynn he didn't, his meetings were at number five. I don't think I'm overrating him, just saying that he should be capable of averaging what the likes of Bates, Ellis, Robson, Riss, Garrity, J Holder, Palm Toft, Barker and Sedgemen did last year.
  9. I believe he could average 5.5 - 6 if he starts at reserve and has an injury free season. Never going to be a heat leader or world beater any more but it's certainly not beyond him to be a half decent second string. We saw enough glimpses of that last year in between the many poor rides.
  10. I'm sure if we could afford him we would.
  11. One reason.....his four point something average. Which he would increase over a whole season and starting at reserve.
  12. A like Erik Riss a lot, he would be an excellent signing.
  13. Which probably puts a different complexion on things. As an aside if people start abusing others on here I'm afraid their argument is lost.
  14. The fact remains you can only compare them by what they have done head to head.....if Woryna was that much better he would have finished way ahead of Lambert in the World U21 standings. He didn't. Woryna is Polish therefore gets opportunities in the Extraliga, and of course gets rocketship bikes the best of their U21's do. Despite that he only finished six points ahead of Lambert in the world championships. It shows there isn't a lot between them at the moment.
  15. Easy to say that Woryna is a 'considerable' margin ahead of Lambert but the only measure you can really use is the world under 21 standings which put Woryna slightly ahead with a six point margin. Until they both compete in the same league across a whole season that's the only barometer really which equates to two points per round.
  16. Depends if the sweeping changes at the club are actually that, if there is plenty to be revealed on that front then I'd suggest it won't be a waste of time. Funnily enough I had a conversation earlier today about how it might well be obvious by then who the last two riders are going to be, hopefully though they will be two nice surprises.
  17. Fantastic to see a couple of young Lynn lads getting spots in what will be a strong side and not too far down the road either.
  18. Absolutely, IF he is demanding a king's ransom then it's good that nobody has bowed to that.
  19. Will be interesting to hear his reasons but wouldn't blame any rider for opting out of our badly run, amateurish league set up.
