If you want to win things you have to build a team based on all round strength and availability, no good naming Puk and then have him missing half a dozen fixtures. Years of service isn't really relevant if he isn't going to be there half the time. For me Rose, Porsing, Lambert and Huckenbeck should be automatic choices. Strong rumours about King and depending on various things Kerr, Batchelor, Schlein and Bjerre may come into the reckoning. And if number sevens are going to be of the standard of PL (Championship) number sevens then I'd have no qualms with giving Josh Bailey a chance.

There are going to be some ropey old (or young!) reserves about this year by the look of it.

I think it's highly unlikely he'd be willing/able to do ALL fixtures and with such a high average I think there are better options out there.

Are two pointers permitted in the top flight? Thought it was just the second division.......

Can't imagine too many teams turning their nose up to Ellis on seven ish, he is young with plenty of improvement in him. I'd have him at Lynn in a flash.

I hope this has been thought through re changes after the first green sheets otherwise we could see huge disparities between team strengths which would be no good for the league at all.

Usual mixed bag from an AGM with some encouraging stuff and some same old, difficult to judge until we see things in action though. As has been alluded to the biggest problem has been guests and R/R as a result of doubling up clashes, hopefully there are plans to sort that out.

All Brits should be able to double up if they so wish.

The Danish league ride on different nights anyway not just Wednesdays. Personally I'd not want Puk back unless he was committed to every single fixture.

I think Buster can get meetings on if the will of everybody is there, however if the riders and a few hundred supporters aren't fussed I don't think the effort is always present. That said there simply shouldn't be a situation where fixtures go unraced. Very poor.

This. Really irritates me when riders get slated for a bit of handbags, it shows a care for what they are doing and adds to the entertainment. No punches were thrown so does it really matter.

Heard that one back in Septemer so could well be true.

If Lambert decides he wants to ride elsewhere there is nothing Lynn could do about it, the riders have the power. Personally I think the day will come when he will demand more £'s than Lynn are prepared to pay and he will move to one of the chequebook clubs but hopefully that won't be yet as he is one of the few good things we have going for us at the moment.

Bizarre that Bjerre isn't a reserve, whatever you think of him.
