On a different thread one or two people are still bellyaching about Cook and Woffinden's exploits in the Play Off final but we need more of that kind of stuff to get the crowd going rather than falling asleep in their seats / camping chairs. A little bit of controversy does speedway the power of good when it happens as long as nobody gets injured.

Quite agree, riding all of his home meetings across the three leagues at Monmore and Armadale did him no good last year. Unless he gets a place at Sheffield it's hard to see how that will change in 2017.

I think Glasgow will be up there if they sign Bewley, plenty of improvement in their bottom four to go with the three heatleaders. Ipswich certainly will be too.

Without doubling up between leagues though there would be a massive rider shortage. For that reason I can't see one big league happening.

Cook and TJ decent but the rest look quite ordinary, not a patch on the other sides which have been named/mooted.
