Not keen on Botham myself. Atherton & Gower use too much jargon. Bumble is great and Shane Warne is pretty good when he has been involved. Nasser decent too.Paul Allott is probably the most irritating of all.

Don't think he was burned out, was our best rider in the Play Offs. Wouldn't be surprised if he was trying one or two things out last night with Lynn up there in a fortnight. Bet that pleased Norrie

Mike, Twitter is probably designed for mobile use but can be used on a computer too. Once you get used to it it's easier than Facebook to use I find for news and updates etc. Certainly worth having a go with! -

Great to see Newman among the points again. We need the FTR's to be scoring big points in the PL. -
Rye House V Plymouth Lc 11th April
Bagpuss replied to Paul's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Most of the riders he has beaten have been PL heat leaders or second strings or full time EL, with a few PL reserves in there too. I think its realistic to expect him to at least maintain his scoring from last season and while he is doing that in the EL he certainly isn't in the PL. -
There are other teams too! Sheffield and Peterborough both look capable of winning it to me, and I would never write off Somerset.

Newman is beating more than just PL reserves for Poole. -

If P'boro ride like that again at Somerset they have every chance of winning there. Always a tough place to go but the Rebels don't look quite as strong this year. -

There has to be something better than the guest system we currently use. Ideally a rider should only represent one club in any given season. Squads would be best but a guest pool sounds like it's worth consideration too. High time we had a group of people with a bit of foresight running things! -
Coventry Bees V Poole Pirates 10th April 2015

What a strange looking scorecard. Has Holder had once crash too many and lost his mojo? Rory guesting at 2 for Poole farcical on so many levels and Newman showing once again why he should have been graded much higher on the reserve list. Can see Poole breaking Lynn's winning streak record from last year at this rate. With a bit of luck they'll have run out of steam by September too..... -
Edinburgh V Workington (lc) 10/4/15 @7.30pm
Bagpuss replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Most teams have 'plenty of Armadale experience' but I don't see too many getting 40 there this year. Edinburgh have once again built a strong side and with a tricky home track they should go through the card at home with few problems. Expect plenty of 60's once Clegg & Branford very into their stride. -

Heart says Coventry, head says Pesky Pirates. -
There are two separate arguments here. Don't think too many people would dispute that he is one of the most exciting British riders to watch but by the same token there is a strong argument that he had been at the same level for some time and probably won't progress much further. I hope he does and at 24 he has time on his side but personally I can't see it. However as has been said he has a good career entertaining people at Scunny and that is a very important part of speedway.

I think it was as simple as being the one heat where he got beaten up a bit on the first two bends and couldn't hit fresh air. -

Kerr relies on his gating much of the time and couldn't make a start last night, whereas I think Morris is still getting used to our track. The slicker conditions may well have caught then out too. In any event I am sure they will improve, too much talent between them for them not to come good. -

Regarding Stefan, surely 5+1 away from home achieved by mainly beating his opposite number is job done for a number seven? Not sure what else you expect! -
Kl Stars Vs Bv Aces Weds 8/4
Bagpuss replied to Star Lady's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Lewis Kerr is bound to come good at some point, he's had a relatively slow start compared to last season but he had ran out of steam come Play Off time so perhaps this year he will hit form towards the end when it really matters. -

Doubling up means more earnings and is necessary if there aren't any foreign opportunities.
