Absolutely. Word on the street is that he'll be involved in the Polish U24 league next year, riding in that should bring him on too.

Unable to like, but spot on.

Ipswich Witches 2024 serious team predictions
Bagpuss replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'd be saying the same wherever he rode. Anyway, don't want to to labour the point, as I've said I just felt it needed making and to reiterate its great that riders of his ilk are here and that more and more seem like they are following. -
You'd imagine the idea is that he'll be beating the other number sevens and other riders too by the business end of the season. Quite possible bearing in mind his progression in little more than a year since he started riding.

That's the whole point of the discussion, he lives in Norwich so riding in the UK and for Ipswich is perfect for him. Robert Lambert lives in Poland and chooses to do two leagues and then some UK once Poland finishes so their circumstances are different. Doyle doesn't need to ride here but if you can get a good wage why wouldn't you work in the country where you live? -
This stuff about signing P'boro riders to get Panthers fans to Lynn is a red herring IMO, they are riders who Buster, Dale & Rob have an affinity with already having worked with them, and they were part of a team who finished the season strongly. Of course they would want to sign them again.

The discussion has nothing to do with Robert Lambert (Who incidently lives in Poland with his Polish girlfriend....that's the difference) I'm sure Doyle does love riding for Ipswich, they are a good club. And despite the A140 being the work of the devil it's extremely convenient for someone living in Norwich to ride there. He's never been my cup of tea but I want as many top riders in the UK as possible. He's doing what's best for him and his family in a short career, as a self employed tradesman that's absolutely right. But his 'loyalty' to the UK is a by product of that. -
Would Thomsen even fit for MPT?
-
I'm sure the same was said last year too.

Thomsen?

Absolutely. Its great that he has ridden over here for so long but if he was married to a Swede or Pole I expect things could be quite different. -

King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions

I don't disagree but the trouble is I'm not sure his average has an awful lot of value in it. His effort and commitment last season was without question but is he realistically going to keep that level of scoring up? We'll have to see who else is named instead, if for example it's Wojdylo & MPT you are looking at a Polish rider who showed a lot of potential last year and a Scunny team mate who average a point more than Simon despite a nasty injury. -

Or might just be that other options on a six and a bit average have gone elsewhere for more per point. Buster has always worked to a budget, he doesn't have a sponsor with deep pockets like three or four other teams in the league. That's just the reality and consequently it makes being competitive very difficult. I expect MPT is the best of what's left for the last spot if he has signed, regardless of the limit. Just the way it is. -

I think there could be a bit of improvement in Tarasenko and Wojdylo assuming they both sign and get on well with the AFA. If the MPT rumour is true then he would appear to be the best version of Plan B that they could come up with once Bomber backed out. That would have been a pretty good side but IF its MPT instead to go with the other rumoured five plus Basso then it looks one good signing short. -
Even if that was case, he's got the wrong end of the stick has he not? The AEPG 'angle' as I understood it is that it costs them too much to host speedway as a landlord and that the rent charged doesn't make it worth it. Unless I've got that wrong? Which is rubbish anyway. They just want the speedway gone to make their millions.

If you are adding that to the five being speculated that would be over a point under the limit. -
Brafield presumably.

The book 'Out of the Frying Pan' about New Cross speedway is a great read.
