Should have been a one off final in the first place, IMO all the problems started when they went back on that.

I think the 'pile on' has far more to do with how you and one or two others conduct yourselves on Poole threads, you really can't be surprised at getting a load back when Poole cock it up. You've been winding folk up on here for many years after all

Why does British Speedway never learn?

I suspect the reasoning behind the lower points limit fpr those in favour of it is to try to narrow the gulf between the top five and the bottom four from this season and to make things more affordable for those smaller clubs.

The Championship is going to look very different in 2024.

Yeah fair points. I think Sedgemen majorly over achieved to start with and then reverted to type, he was never going to keep that form up. Went for Wijdylo because of his impact but could go for one of the Cook brothers or Blodorn instead. Maybe even Simon Lambert at a push.

I see most people have gone with six heat leaders and a R/S......I've deliberately named two second strings and two reserves as I think that's more in the spirit of a 'team'.

I don't think any rider should be criticised for not riding in our second division if that's what they feel is best for their development, shows a bit of ambition and a willingness to get out of their comfort zone.

I applaud any rider who leaves behind the easy money of the Championship to broaden their horizons abroad. -

I'd suggest that not riding Monmore every week will do him the world of good too. -

You may well be right but with Douglas at 1 and Kemp at 7 Scunthorpe have every chance. -

Having drawn at WR in the Play Offs not that long ago Scunny will fancy their chances. -

A lot of fuss over Thompson & Ablitt riding at Scunthorpe but I don't understand why that means there are nine changes -
I think it all boils down to their ambition and desire to see the biggest names possible at Ashfield. I expect they know that it wouldn't mean more punters, that Thursdays wouldn't work quite as well as Fridays and that they wouldn't have local derbies any more. But all that taken into account I'm sure they could make it work if the desire was there to do so. If its not, then fair enough.

I don't think they are British speedway's saviours at all, the problems run far deeper than that but I'd be astonished if riders like Emil, Doyle, Bewley, Lambert, Tai etc don't get extra bums on seats when they are in town. As a general point though Id agree that telly money has been utterly squandered since 1999.
