  1. I think the whole conversation started because folk were going OTT about Doyle's 'loyalty'. As for Lynn's team, they are likely to be a mixture of returning riders, some from Buster's other club and one who is looking for a team because of the points limit. So I don't really see a 'mercenary' in there but there we are. Wouldn't disagree about Laguta too much although I would say that when he was there he put in a lot more effort than people not at the meetings would assume and when he wasn't it was because Wroclaw ordered him to not ride.
  2. Because Poole think they are the cat whiskers and nobody would dare leave them out of choice?
  3. A little, but those two Brits have deals elsewhere and BV's job is to build the best possible team under the points limit.
  4. The fact that I'm a Lynn fan is neither here nor there, I don't really consider there to be that much of a rivalry between Lynn, Ipswich and P'boro nowadays. Maybe years ago when riders had deep club loyalties and didn't double up ir ride abroad, but not really any more. I admire Ipswich a lot they're a great club. I didn't expect this whole thing to blow up as it has, I just wanted to balance out the whole loyalty thing and the clog that other riders who don't base themselves in the UK get for not being 'loyal'. And Doyle has had agreements with Lynn in the recent past, but obviously it all comes down to the deals offered which is absolutely fair enough, and happens every year with many different riders.
  5. There is really no need to refer to people as idiots and write posts like you are thirteen years old. Surely we can all debate and discuss in a mature and controlled manner? Not difficult to show some manners and be mature.
  6. The reason they would start with Boughen if they do is so that they beieve he will develop rapidly and that he would blossom through the season and be a weapon come the Play Offs. Not starting the season with him means that almost certainly wouldn't work. If the viewpoint is that he's going to develop at a rate of knots then averages in lower leagues are pretty irrelevant.
  7. Why not debate without personal attacks and insults? Why be so triggered by somebody posting a pretty mild opinion? Dear me.
  8. I expect he joined the long list of folk who Buster has fallen out with. Come to think of it it was 2017 and the fateful night v Poole when Holder and Batchelor were a disgrace, probably something to do with that.
  9. I'd say he's reasonable value on 6.39.
  10. Load of fuss about nothing. As long as the meeting is run in a reasonable time ie 90 mins or so then what difference does it make how often the tractor does a bit of grading?
  11. Absolutely. Word on the street is that he'll be involved in the Polish U24 league next year, riding in that should bring him on too.
  12. I'd be saying the same wherever he rode. Anyway, don't want to to labour the point, as I've said I just felt it needed making and to reiterate its great that riders of his ilk are here and that more and more seem like they are following.
  13. You'd imagine the idea is that he'll be beating the other number sevens and other riders too by the business end of the season. Quite possible bearing in mind his progression in little more than a year since he started riding.
  14. That's the whole point of the discussion, he lives in Norwich so riding in the UK and for Ipswich is perfect for him. Robert Lambert lives in Poland and chooses to do two leagues and then some UK once Poland finishes so their circumstances are different. Doyle doesn't need to ride here but if you can get a good wage why wouldn't you work in the country where you live?
  15. This stuff about signing P'boro riders to get Panthers fans to Lynn is a red herring IMO, they are riders who Buster, Dale & Rob have an affinity with already having worked with them, and they were part of a team who finished the season strongly. Of course they would want to sign them again.
  16. The discussion has nothing to do with Robert Lambert (Who incidently lives in Poland with his Polish girlfriend....that's the difference) I'm sure Doyle does love riding for Ipswich, they are a good club. And despite the A140 being the work of the devil it's extremely convenient for someone living in Norwich to ride there. He's never been my cup of tea but I want as many top riders in the UK as possible. He's doing what's best for him and his family in a short career, as a self employed tradesman that's absolutely right. But his 'loyalty' to the UK is a by product of that.
  17. I'm sure the same was said last year too.
  18. Absolutely. Its great that he has ridden over here for so long but if he was married to a Swede or Pole I expect things could be quite different.
