  1. Who are these 'riders loyal to British speedway who get ditched just before the Play Offs each year'? Certainly not those who Lambert and Woffinden have replaced either this year or last.
  2. Have to say I've no problem with teams celebrating victories, especially away from home with fans travelling to watch. It's like the old football cliche 'team A celebrated like they'd won the World Cup!' Defeats are horrible so make the most of the wins, that what I say. Sport is there to be enjoyed.
  3. That top four realistically all need to hit double figures at Poole to keep it close enough....not happening IMO.
  4. The idea that Tarasenko is a magic wand who cures all of Glasgow's weaknesses is fanciful. Even with him in the Glasgow side Poole would still wallop them at home and keep it close enough at Ashfield to win comfortably over two legs. I like Glasgow a lot and they would be my preference to win the thing but I think Oxford going through would mean a much more competitive final.
  5. Which means absolutely nothing, apart from a loan fee which is probably illegal anyway if it was ever challenged.
  6. Somebody on here ITK said a few weeks ago that every time Laguta didn't ride here it was because Wroclaw told him not to.
  7. Which all makes a kind of sense. I guess the million dollar question is will enough Wolves fans travel to Perry Barr to make it a goer.
  8. That reminds me of the Benson & Hedges scene in Mike Bassett
  9. Shambolic fixtures once again. Get the league and play offs done first, then worry about the cup and trophy. We can't keep having this scrapping about in Sept and Oct to get the most important meetings of the season ridden.
  10. I think the racing was so good because it was quite slick and easier to ride ie wasn't wet or grippy. Even Pickering managed to finally suss it out.
  11. Depends what you like really, the Wolves meeting looked very good with passing in most races but personally I prefer much faster racing even though it can be a bit processional at times. That heat 15 at BV was something else though.
  12. What a race that was. Well done Ipswich. The final will be a poorer place without the NSS in it but that first leg has cost them.
  13. Nice. Blodorn wants shooting for giving that point away to Rew, had several opportunities to shut the door.
  14. Quite obvious what he meant though as the context was Tatum's commentary.
  15. Lambert was constantly carrying an injury or other in 2019 hence his modest current average, in 2018 he scored paid 14 and paid 15 at Wolves so he can get round there fine. However four years away from such a specialist track is a long time, don't necessarily see him scoring big there tonight.
  16. The issue for me is the fixtures and British speedway's inability to get fixtures done in a timely fashion. Oxford should never have had to ride a home fixture on a Sunday in mid September. It wasn't that long ago we were bemoaning the lack of British riders in Polish leagues, we can't now complain that they are missing our fixtures to be there when we can't get our own act together.
  17. Masters can be a whingey plank as we've seen over the years, the only one I'd back him over was having a go at Pedersen in the Aussie GP
  18. Don't think we've seen an explanation as to why this meeting was arranged for today when Bailey and Riss were never available. Agree about the SoN2 but if he ever has any ambition of being a regular in Poland then he had to be there today, I expect he would have been made to be there by the FIM anyway if there had been a dispute as Poland have priority on Sundays.
  19. Doyle won the Peter Craven at the beginning of the season too. Very much depends on how fit he feels.
  20. No idea why anyone would laugh at that, seems like a balanced opinion. He's struggled a little over the last couple of matches, hope he can score a few more points in his remaining meetings.
