  1. Pretty ordinary racing as per. Ben Cook certainly has something about him, Basso and Hagon also improved as the evening went on. Lawson a big miss for Lynn this season. Klindt great when he gates. KK very impressive not just in front but also looking to team ride with Jakobsen. And I'm just not convinced that Jason Edwards is suited to the Lynn track.
  2. I'll do it if you like. Been a while though, last time wasn't even on a smart phone
  3. I suspect its going to be a case of which teams don't win at Brum this season rather than which teams do.
  4. Redcar did far better than I expected but one wonders if they've thrown the tie away in the last two heats tonight.
  5. I would suggest our youngsters getting experience abroad is anything but pointless.
  6. Hurting your own team wasn't the angle I was coming from really, more the integrity thing. Although I appreciate that ship has long, long since sailed.
  7. P'boro have a good chance of winning this with their top four all very proficient around Lynn. If Cook can get a few I'd fancy them. Cos we aren't very good either.
  8. The R/R's put this tie heavily in Poole's favour IMO which is a shame as it could/would have been very close with two full teams. As an aside if a team in one semi can use a guest from a team in the other semi that'd be laughable and quite ridiculous. Although seeing as it's happened already in a three team group I wouldn't be surprised.
  9. It's one that has always puzzled me to be honest. Not sure you can be unfit one night and fit the next. Good old British Speedway.
  10. Yep, it's still amusing me now when I see it on the Premiership page Weather looks decent for Thursday.
  11. Fair play to him and them for the statement but let's see if it really is a 'one off'. I suspect not.
  12. There's a bigger picture than that though. Looks awful that we don't have priority over riders on our designated race night. And it means more bloody guests
  13. Not for me, Zmarzlik forced a hole that wasn't really big enough for him to get through IMO. Lucky boy to be in the re-run.
  14. It looks like the kind of track where its difficult to know exactly where to ride in any given heat, and the set up must be difficult to find as a result. Meaning some good racing. Work to do for Lambert & Bewley.
  15. As for Kileen, he has a lot of talent but needs to learn that you don't score points if you don't finish races or miss meetings through injuries. Best wishes to him for a speedy recovery and coming back a bit calmer.
  16. As long as they see the job through and didn't motivate Scunny by overdoing it! Perhaps they themselves were motivated by Mr Peasley's posts earlier in the week
  17. I would also suggest that having a good sponsor takes the pressure off having to make early calls. I'm convinced that most early postponements are due to promoters being petrified of paying for air fares, rent etc and then either nobody turning out because is cold/damp or the meeting being off anyway. Speedway has spun itself into a web where most can't absorb the financial hit.
