  1. You couldn't anyway as Thomas hasn't ridden for you yet. As Lisa says, it was in reference to the suggestion that Dan T might be waiting for another club to fit him in once averages change.
  2. Perhaps it's more concrete than 'just in case'.......
  3. I'd say even one season or just doing a few meetings and not getting an up to date average. You could make a decent argument that Bewley should be reassessed considering his progress in 2022.
  4. Probably an idea to see it in action before condemning it as a bad idea.
  5. If that's the case I'd say they are strong favourites assuming Rew is fully committed.
  6. I'd absolutely support reassessment on an annual basis for riders who don't ride here for the record. Didn't Tai sign for Wolves on a seven something at the end of the season a few years ago?
  7. They will both be very good at home but struggle away IMO, probably the same for most of them to be fair.
  8. Do they? They have other juniors but not seniors as far as I'm aware.
  9. That was horrendous as Ellis and Morris had appeared in the semis! It's a part of the sport over here, but a terrible part, and there's a reason the best league in the world doesn't use them.
  10. But surely better than guests which are a horrible part of British speedway. I could stomach R/R but 7 v 7 is what we all want to see (and Charles Wright was injured for the second leg anyway)
  11. I don't think they will as there ain't a whole lot between Jack, Kemp, Rowe and Thompson, but IF Poole decided to drop another rider to bring in Ablitt + 1 then that's sport IMO, and the custodians of the club have to do what's best for it as a whole. A bit harsh on the rider admittedly but as we've seen in recent seasons riders can agree deals and then go back on them leaving clubs in the lurch so it works both ways. Wouldn't go near Batch personally and I'm not convinced Ablitt is good enough. Thompson for Thomas the best bet I reckon.
  12. BUT HIS AVERAGE WAS LOWER AND HE WAS ONLY SIGNED BECAUSE FRICKE'S SEASON WAS ENDED BY INJURY. Jesus wept.
  13. That can't possibly be allowed though, guests are something we want far less of and there is/has been plenty of time to sign a replacement before the season starts.
  14. I think that's exactly how it will pan out, I expect the senior reserve to change every month.
  15. That's exactly how I'd line up I think, not sure Pickering is really 'weaker' other than on paper and I think he and Jakobsen swap after two meetings anyway.
  16. I don't think he's 'overrated' because very few people think it's a great signing. Essentially if Alex Brady can keep him motivated and interested he could be a very solid heat leader and that's essentially all he needs to be a all that can be reasonably expected. If he can't be arsed he'll be gone in no time at all so it'll be interesting to see what transpires.
  17. He has reached 12 GP finals, won three of them and has finished second in the overall standings as well as winning 5 SWC's. There is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that he's been world class during his career.
  18. I think Thompson would be the best option personally.
  19. That's just one though, you could say the same about many tracks. I'd have thought a bad injury record would mean an unusually high number of broken bones.
  20. What's the evidence that Scunny has a bad injury record? I've always considered it very safe due to the width and shape but happy to be disproved. Gutted for Jack.
  21. Sounds familiar to me, think it was suggested at the time and possibly the result of being stored for three years instead of one?
  22. Yep fair, but we all know Brum doesn't like Pedersen or KK, we've heard it ad nauseum. Plus as much of a plank as NP can be on a speedway bike, it's a myth that he injures riders. Maybe it's because they get out of his way
