  1. which is all well and good when you know what the average of the rider is. There is however no confirmed conversion rate between the 2 leagues as yet. Supposedly a committee or perhaps an individual is assessing the scores of riders doing both leagues before deciding what the new multiplier should be. No decision was expected until all Prem teams had completed 4 h 4a. This could well be mid June. Until then it seems year start figures stand for Prem only riders (although Championships riders completing 4h 4a seem to be using these new averages in Prem redeclaration eg Kerr and now Lambert) Meanwhile a rider like Tungate appears to be in limbo not knowing if he will be 5.09 9.03 or possibly anywhere in between. All this is quite riduculous as a revised conversion was straightforward at 1.25 just by looking at the starting limits at 50 and 40 respectively. Leaving it until now just opens up all sorts of problems - not least of which is accusation of average manipulation and potential claims of favouritism if the eventual new figure announced differs from the obvious and appears to favour particular teams looking at changes.
  2. Wont Holder Starke and BWD get their new figures imminently? These would take you above 40 and mean any changes have to be like for like or shed the points back to 40 In which case Ellis would only fit for one of the top 5 and not either reserve and to replace Bacon would have to be a 2 pointer The only viable option there to make any real difference is Shanes Now if you have pulled that one off it is a masterstroke......
  3. Agree with this. Whilst I have been forthright in my views on redeclarations I at no stage have suggested it has been cheating. It is the regulations and the implementation (or lack of) I have an issue with.
  4. WOW - sometimes the power of nature is a wonder to behold. And I mean that as a genuine comment not a sarcastic dig at you pussycats (for a change 😜)
  5. Aint Karma a bitch 😛 Look on the bright side 1) The gate receipts mean you can pay Chris his signing on fee in cash 2) The pussycats save on bank charges not having to deposit it
  6. So was the track really perfect at 6.50 when all the punters had piled in??
  7. purely as the Comets fans were saying that Witches fans were crowing about getting 4 points I was just highlighting it wasnt Witches fans...
  8. yes it should be - and once any of the 'debate' on here is finished thats what all of us ultimately want whatever team we support and whatever track we witness our speedway at 👍
  9. Im reassured that you are indeed human after all.I can let go those worrying images I was conjuring in my brain of a faceless figure wearing a cape and with his underpants worn on the outside 😉
  10. am I right in thinking you are not a Witches fan MM?Just for the record....
  11. surely with your extensive contacts and knowledge you dont have to ask.... 😜
  12. bad break around some rods already in situ from a previous injury. Rods were mangled which meant significant operations including skin grafting. No return this season expected 😦
  13. or perhaps now he has lost the 4 point avearge needed for the last set of changes and received his inflated 5.5 figure from reserve they think there are better value options in replacing him...
  14. I think scarra means this one from me responding to the OP and these were my replies to later posts showing my thoughts on what the result was likely to be Think its clear the first one was a tongue in cheek reply to the Covatti situation
  15. more than me it seems - I wasnt there and hadnt heard of any issue until it cropped up here Just going from the cryptic scraps on here If its more then spill the beans and we can debate and give opinions on the full story.....
  16. Would never condone the causing of damage even with the provocation of an incompetent ref. That perhaps provides some mitigation in the heat of the moment but not a full justification/pardon for it. 🎣🎣 think that was far more than a hot headed slamming of a pits phone Its the only time I can remember a rider being thrown out of a meeting
  17. No one seems to have a clue what the rules are or what they are meant to be. More on the hoof than a 3 tonne horse...
  18. Well that could see the average conversion rate massaged before it is announced....😉 All the best to Josh.
  19. The Scotsman second team is whoever rides against Ipswich when he attends Foxhall except when its Glasgow or Peterborough. For those he remains neutral 😁
