Sgp Challenge Final Sat 20th Sept
Gavan replied to screm's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
your post makes no sense! In one breath you say riders need to qualify then in the next say riders like Kildemand and Pawlicki should be there. They had there chances and didnt take it. Harris did by QUALIFYING! What do you want the system to be 8 wild cards? Could be interesting for Poole next year with Magic in there. Doubt the elite league will be top of his agenda -

quite simply astounded by some moronic posters on here! Chris Harris is British and has qualified fair and square. 3 riders tied on 13 points and 2 of those are the riders in the gp already. The other , Doyle, was beaten twice tonight by....................Harris and Zagar! So Harris has quite clearly demonstrated that he deserves his place. Surely if Covatti wins his last ride then Janowski is first reserve? -

Come on Bomber! Pawlicki a disgrace to Poole fans not riding here yet clearly fit to do this meeting. Dump or ban these foreign mercenaries who don't give 2 stuffs about the uk. Glad to see THJ out the running. Would like to see Kildemand Janowski and Diyle go through. If Doyle qualifies then the authorities can teach Ward a lesson by no wild card as they will have 3 Aussies already -
Sorry but as much as I despise Ward the person he is well ahead of Lambert at 16. Lambert is good but as SCB said Ward was averaging 9 in the premier and Lambert would do well to reach 7.5 do you think he is as good as Cook at premier level or about the same as say Tungate who would probably average the same as Lambert at number 2 in the Lynnn side. Lambert has potential but don't overhype

HAMPEL ZAGAR PEDERSEN JEPSEN JENSEN LINDGREN TO OVERTAKE IVERSEN
-
Looks like its a pop at North to me. Never like North to be honest especially after what he did to Barker which was one of the most cowardly acts ive ever seen on a bike, but if Hansen thinks he is drinking or on drugs he needs to back it up
-
Absolulty spot on glad to see a true Poole fan with reasoning. All good enough for Poole Just wondering why you havent had a pop at Pirates of Poole for his slating of Darcy when you are so keen to jump down my throat for a similar opinion!

Only the real Pedersen haters or those new to speedway think Nicki was at fault. Cant stand the man but it was blatantly the wrong decision
-
so what you are basically saying is exclude Pedersen every time then!! I cant stand Pedersen as a person as his reaction to his wife showed and he has/is a notoriously dirty rider but that exclusion was wrong Try being a speedway fan rather than just a hater as said Nicki the man isn't very likeabke Nicki the rider is often dirty Tonight he shouldn't have been excluded. simple really

Emil Sayfutdinov 2015

Think you need to watch a bit more speedway then! Greg is a master of his craft. Watch some of the gp races where he holds off Darcy true skill on a bike. And in a gp i seem to remember he passed Darcy. The man is in his 40's do you expect him to take huge risks from the back! -
PEDERSEN SMOLINSKI KASPRZAK BECH DANISH WINNER
-
not writing them off but if you look where they were 3 years ago they haven't actually gone forward. As you say there is still time but they should be knocking on the door of the gp's quite loudly but they are not. When you see Smolinski and Harris in there then you would think Janowski in particular should be almost there by now
-
Quite often a lot of the young poles flatter to deceive Over time we had: Pepe Dados Hampel Kujawa Zabik Dudek Janowski Prez Pawlicki Out of those only Hampel went on to be true world class Piotr Pawlicki has the potential but can he fulfil it. We seen Janowski and Dudek not really go with their careers after winning the World Under 21 maybe younger Pawlicki can buck the trend
-
how is this anti Poole! A rider had failed a breath test and should be banned irrelevant of who he rides for. Your views on that rider are quite clear by your silence on the matter
-
afther the good run of results a bit of a reality check for us. Adam struggles here and Cam and Richie H didnt cut it either and 5 from r/r maybe Gino would have added a couple. Well done Plymouth and fingers crossed our boys can be more dialled in for the cup match
-
please get real about the situation. He was over the limit to ride a speedway bike. now everyone is trying to find a way out of it because its Darcy Ward and he is world class. Do riders need support time and time again! He has been supported time after time and yet throws the support back in peoples faces by doing somethig stupid and disgracing himself. The time comes when you have to say no more. If an offender keeps offending when being released do you keep releasing him or do you finally lock him up for good. The worst part is the disgusting attitude of your promoter 'fingers crossed he gets away with it' see up you pipe again to defend. your posts are a joke and you add nothing to discussion. Would be nice to read that you are sad to see Ward get into trouble yet again and im ashamed to say he has let my club down but hopefully he can sort himself out and get back to riding for Poole. Yet somehow you dont even comment only to hope he gets away with it. pathetic
-
i think we can possibly edge this one especially as Morten goes well here. would be even better if he could have one of Gino's rides Witches to win by 6
-
all i said was you comment ONCE when someone mentions dodgy equipment. its blatantly obvious from your silence on the whole matter that you are in support of Ward
-
thought you might pop up at some time especially as the thread has started to mention how he could 'get away with it' as your pathetic excuse of a promoter said. for someone who regularly posta all the over the forum im stunned how you cant comment about Ward your own fans are condenming him and how he has probably cost you the league. yet your silence obviously shows your support for him. and the fact you now comment about him getting off speaks volums for your attitude on the matter. grow a pair for christs sake

Marks best 2 seasons were 1999 when he basically won everything and 2000. I agree he was never touted as a serious contender but then he did come 5th in 1999 after missing a round and having a shocker in 1 of them after crashing. He was only 5 points off of a rostrum place which he surely would have got if he had rode in the 1st one. 5 points behind a true great in Nielsen and ahead of the likes of Adams Crump and Hancock. Think its fair to say the top 2 in Rickardsson and Gollob were ahead of everyone. In 1999 Mark Loram was arguably int he top 5 riders in the world the same in 2000 so he was a contender in my opinion
-
Mark Loram was not a lucky world champion i wish people would stop saying that. The gp series every year rewards the most consistent rider that is fact. In 2000 Mark was the most consistent rider. He made every semi final that season. The gp back in 2000 was a six series as opposed to double that now. So that made it more likely then that you could be world champion without winning one. You still could today i guess. Mark Loram wasnt as good as say Tony Rickardsson but he took his chance and wasnt lucky. The only part of the system that was flawed was the fact that if you kept winning you had the best gates. Do people think Mark would have been more deserving if he had say won 2 of the rounds and had a couple of 9th place finishes thus still amounting the same points total? 6 different tracks and was top 8 every time. A deserved World champion without doubt. The thing is Mark could have at least made the rostrum in 1999 when he missed the 1st gp as he wasnt in the series but rode in the next 5
-
I like Ward the rider but Ward the person is throwing his life away. If this was Tai or anyone else I would still be saying they need a ban. Problem with Ward is he has so many past indiscretions that it shows what he is like. This isn't just a one off mistake in his career he has a whole list.
-
Page 70 something and people are still defending what happened. Unbelievable

Gorzow Gp-30th August 2014
Gavan replied to mickthemuppet's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
i don't get where you getting the wild cards from. Ward I would imagine will get one if not banned and drops out the top 8. Batchelor or Lindgren look like they will get in on merit. After all the chances they have given Lindgren Harris and Jonsson then maybe they will give Jarek another chance. I can see the 4 wildcards being Ward Hampel MJJ and maybe Zmarlik. Lets face it they have history for putting in the same riders year after year. Hampel has been up there for many years so probably deserves 1 wild card year -
spot on he should have had an immediate worldwide ban until the case was heard. Should not have been allowed to ride for any of his clubs. The fact Ward is a great rider is irrelevent The fact Ward should be in the gp's is irrelevent. The stature of a rider who fails a breath test should have no bearing on the outcome. I have no issue with Ward riding in next years gp's either by holding on to a top 8 place or a wildcard, but he should be banned for the rest of this season as a minimum. <trolling removed>
