  1. Well if you worked in a chemist giving people potentially life saving medicine or in a high end boutique, being drunk could affect someone's health or cost a fortune through mistakes being made. Or if you're a bus / taxi driver / pilot the consequences don't bear thinking about. Unless you think it's ok to turn up drunk to work that is ?
  2. In less than a week. A gofundme account has raised nearly £5,000 got the injured Aussie rider Hunter Anderson. The idea of a long weekends training on bike set up etc could possibly benefit from a Gofundme account. It just needs someone to organize it
  3. Don't be stupid ....... That sounds like a good plan. It'll never be done
  4. In some big European grass meetings you have to get to the pit gate with your tank empty and it's filled with methanol supplied by the organising club in an attempt to stop additives
  5. Just say it anyway .... Then add "allegedly"
  6. Just think of all the sky money that's paid for foreign riders engines and vans over the years, then think of our up and coming riders who can't afford even one new engine I know. I've been there
  7. By all accounts this was a cracker of a meeting. As I wasn't there is it one worth getting on DVD ?
  8. They've been as miserable as sin the 4 times I've been there this year.
  9. So, were Ippo that good ? After last weeks win some on here hinted that it was down to Somerset being that bad rather than Ipswich being good . Surely we can't be that unlucky two weeks running ?
  10. It's a bit like the joke about the Irishman in the restaurant He bought a meal and sneaked out without eating it. Just as pointless too
  11. Neil Middleditch declared in todays Star that the draft rider system is flawed and the NL should feed the PL and the PL should feed the EL.........whoosh!!! No doubt it would have been a success if poole had a strong reserve pairing this year ?
  12. Drove past lakeside half hour ago. It was piss-istently coming down , 100% the right decision
  13. *sigh If only people were as quick to praise this week as they were to condemn last week, this thread would be on it's 8th page already.
  14. He's got some northern clubs sniffing around him already I think he'll be good for whoever takes him on.
  15. A nothing meeting ?? Wow. Your cup is not only half empty, it's got a bleeding crack in it. Supposing the riders all thought that too? My son's gonna come from near Bournemouth to rode tonight. I'll be there supporting him and the boys.
  16. There doesn't seen to be a thread either on here or in the national league page. Looks like a good meeting with a reduced admission price. Hopefully a good turnout to see some young riders battling it out.
  17. "Paul Wilson"...... 40 million sperm and you were the best swimmer ? What a waste
  18. To be honest I know he's copped a bit of stick on here at times but it's not the first time he's asked.
  19. Unless they're forced to give up racing halfway through the season as they can't afford it
  20. It's my last post on this subject as Adam is my son and I don't want it to get personal but I feel it could apply to any rider. How can cutting a riders track time potentially in half improve his riding if their going through a tough time ?
  21. Whatever happened to win as a team, lose as a team ? Let's hope no prospective rider reads how the fans back their riders who are going through a tough patch. I'm sure that'll encourage them to come to foxhall
  22. Start off with two standard bikes and two riders of equal ability, set them up the same and then forbid one rider to touch his. The other can change the gearing to suit the changing track conditions, alter his timing, change jet in the carb , lengthen / shorten the wheelbase by moving the rear wheel, adjust the trye pressure etc etc. by the end if the meeting one will be much quicker than the other. It's not all just about tuning.
