  1. Another disgraceful decision heat 6 - that is if race 2 was right.
  2. Brilliant race 2 - and why. 3 fantastic riders PLUS a track better prepared then last night ie outside ripped.
  3. Order course the draw is the draw, but I would rather have 23 quality races rather just the last 15 ish. Last night was just night. You could see the track was too slick for quality racing early on, the riders were sliding everywhere.
  4. These guys are dicing for a world championship and what goes with it. Such a shame that it could all be ruined in an early heat. This may happen though......Freddie sends them all flying in different directions, Laguta charges through for a win.
  5. Tonight’s excitement could be spoilt. Heat 2 has Lindgren, Zmarzlik, Woffinden, and Laguta. Brilliant line up but woeful for heat 2 when the track has not developed. The riders could make excitement happen but I expect it could be a follow the leader. Shame really.
  6. Putting a new under 21 world champ into a full series would, IMO, be too soon.i know Emil and zmazlick did well when young but they were exceptional. I think it’s too much to expect a young un to be even half decent over a season racing at the very real top level. Tough on the mind, body, machinery and the organisational side I would imagine. Apart from that if they really had a bad season it might affect their confidence. I remember a few seasons ago everyone was suggesting Milik and Lebedevs be put in to a GP season. What are they doing now - not really improved, so more then likely would have been a massive disappointment. Maybe the best a under 21 wc could expect is a guaranteed no 16 at one of the rounds.
  7. On the basis of a GP win Fricke will get a pick, and deserve it. Laguta too will get a pick, but I would be happy to see him out, too much a gater. Looks like to Polish youngsters supply train has dried up a bit. Drabik and Smektala need couple more years to develop, Kunbera didn’t take the win last night in under 21’s. Big chance for Lambert particularly, but also Lidsay and Kvech in the next few years. i think tonight we are going to say goodbye to NKI and Lindback from the GP’s. They have served us well for entertainment, which I thank them for. Just hope the track tonight is different from last night. First half of the meeting was lack lustre, second half was how Toruń should be.
  8. Was that Bewleys last go at under 21? How old is Lindsay?
  9. If you been alert you would have noticed in the last 3 meetings he has done poor in his first couple races, drank some special brew and flown in the remaining races. If I was him I would looking to replace his main mechanic, his bikes are completely set up wrong in early races, it’s a pattern he needs to break.
  10. 100% disagree. It’s not the same Emil of say 2013, but he is IMO a racer, not just a gater like Laguta.
  11. this is not Toruń racing like I come to love, the track too compacted for exciting racing.
  12. What if you put your camera on the lowest setting, would you still be at a limit.
  13. I tied up every Wednesday evening, so I emailed Berwick speedway to ask if it would be available on You Tube after the event. A reply came within 30 minutes, a decision has not yet been made, but it has been done before. If it is available then I will be watching, and paying. And because they said it is available whether you pay or not I will contribute more then I would expect to pay. I hope it’s a success for Berwick speedway, the management their seems as if they are triers.
  14. You make two points in one sentence, so I break it up. Why would you increase income (presumably you mean charge more) for away supporters. You trying to attract them I would have thought. how many neutral supporters would pay to watch a match that doesn't involve their team? You obviously expecting few, so any that do watch is a bonus income. If two teams I didn’t support were playing and I thought it was going to be a cracker of a match, yes I would pay and watch. Although I have an affection for BVue (I started going over 60 years agog), it’s Speedway I love, so good racing comes above loyalty to a team - that’s why I love speedway GP racing, it’s so exciting.
  15. Why would you charge different rates depending on how far away they live, the further away pay more too? Seems crackpot idea to me.
  16. For some time now BSF members have been saying British speedway is in the doldrums, dying on its feet, and what’s needed is some different thinking, something creative. The thinking a family of four staying at home, spend £12 instead of £50, thus the track loses £38 plus drinks, food etc, is stifling the creative thinking. When this pandemic is managed and we can have a bit of normality, many workers will have lost their jobs (how many millions we don’t know), their won’t be many families who can afford £50 plus, and I just wonder what percentage of fans currently are mum, dad plus 2 kids anyway. Creative thinking, here is a good example I just seen on a shopping channel on TV. ...... they selling a pair of ladies thigh length boots (I don’t normally watch ladies fashion, honest, but I just woke up from mid afternoon nap) and this was the offer. You order your size and they send two pairs, one the size you order, other pair half size bigger, whichever fits you keep and send the other pair back post free. Immediately I said to the wife “what a brilliant idea”, she looks at me with a blank look on her face. Creative thinking....... they almost certain of a sale by sending two pairs, different sizes. If they sent the size ordered, say ladies size 5, and it was a bit tight, it would be sent back and unlikely a size bigger ordered (lots of purchases are impulse buys). Result.... no sale. So, two pairs sent, different sizes, one pair is likely to be fit and kept by customer..... kerching - money in the till that might not have been there. Brilliant idea. The model doesn’t fit speedway sales, but it’s the creative thinking needed to INCREASE sales that is needed.
  17. would all the riders in this years British Championship be all on the same pay rate? I assuming it would £x per point and per start, plus travel. Anyone know?
  18. If you read my first post proper I was asking had I heard right, obviously not, according to Sky news that I since read, that’s where I got the info.......... There have been another 7,143 cases of coronavirus reported in the UK in the last 24 hours - the biggest rise since the pandemic began. 71 coronavirus-related deaths have also been recorded - the highest number since 1 July. The significant rise in COVID-19 cases comes after the number of positive tests fell at the weekend, with Monday's figure at 4,044 cases.
  19. 71 deaths in uk last 24 hours, largest number since July 1st. If cases have been doubling each week for couple weeks it’s obvious to me that deaths are likely to increase shortly after, People mixing without social distancing/facemasks etc, simply ignoring advice and now legislation merely because they don’t want to conform is shouting out “I could t give a monkeys about anyone else, I will do what I want, it’s all about me, me, me”. Hospitals will be overrun, staff will be in danger, all because of selfish self centred people.
  20. How many deaths today, have I read it right at 147, substantially more then yesterday.
  21. Don’t agree with you on numbers. Some may stay home to save a few quid, but I think many many more will stream. Tjat could be past supporters who may have moved away from the area, supporters like me that find travel (30 mile each way) is too much but would stream, there would be away supporters who cannot afford a day off work to travel Poole to BVue for example but would stream, and of course keen supporters who would stream watch a good match between two teams, neither that he supports. So at the right price, streamers could outnumber those in actual attendance. £8 max.
  22. I hope not too many subscribed for last night. £12.95 is too much, if a lot subscribed then £12.95 could be a norm. I would go fo £7-£8 for top league racing
