  1. Got to feel for Bowes, a good win in his first heat, going up the inside of Masters down the back straight, a little untidy but a good win. Before making a good gate and leading for 3 laps before what seemed to be a nasty off. Could’ve been 6/6 but instead on way to hospital.
  2. Young lad who could ride the airfence and beat anyone when on it. His form did fall of a cliff once the move up but as he’s a treble winning Pirate I’d certainly welcome him back, on the right average
  3. Couldn’t believe what I was seeing when he first rode for Poole. Was riding at 6, and felt like he was beating everyone, including Sam Masters. And then moved to number 2 and confidence deserted him and he hardly scored a point. Shame as I would always welcome him back to Poole
  4. Going on last year Zach seems to ride well within himself until the business end of the season. Imo there’s no such thing as too good for the championship, masters has been ‘too good’ for it for years, but he isn’t interested in testing himself like Douglas, Ben Cook, and many many others. That’s not a dig at Masters, as I said hes probably been the best rider in the championship for many years now.
  5. How did he look? Was he on the pace? Quick out the gate? Poole will likely need a new 2 point rider for next season
  6. Hopefully it all clicks when he returns. If he can start scoring like he can then we will really walk the league. it’s very close to who will be at reserve for Poole next month, it’s close between Cairns Kyle and Fraser, currently Cairns and Kyle will stay/ drop
  7. My biggest worry when we dropped down was missing the big names like Holders and Doyle at the time they dropped. I didn’t like the fact that we dropped down, hugely against it. But from season 1 in the championship I’ve never looked back. Especially with the state of the premiership
  8. Luke Killeen had a fall and was then collected by Ritchings, Luke after being with the medics was up and about seemingly ok
  9. As much as I miss Ben being in the Poole team, he was too good for this level, riding in the polish top league and capable of being unbeatable on his day, he’s not too far of GP standard and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see him in them in a few years. If we were to make the step up to the premiership, I’d like to think he’d be first name on the team sheet
  10. It was announced that Riss was extremely close to returning a week or two ago. So I’d assume he’s back anytime now
  11. Level down the straight and then went across Zach, clipped him going into the corner and then hit him again, Anders certainly the cause of the stoppage
  12. Brave decision by the ref but he got it right. Anders had his leg across Zach and then out of control into the corner and gave Zach no chance to stay on the bike or get out the way
  13. Can’t believe the ref allowed that race to start
  14. Stream is on and looking forward to it. Hopefully the track is better than it was last time Pirates visited after some horrific crashes in Poland this week, hoping for a safe meeting. Never feel too confident against Oxford, especially away
  15. British Speedway is in such safe hands with them 2. If they can build an understanding like Ward and Holder had on track together they could dominate British speedway. Shame as I think the championship will quickly become beneath them
  16. No offence to Gilkes, but with the points available we can get a better replacement for Bowes than Gilkes. Swapping Bowes for Gilkes would be a waste of team building points
  17. Disappointed to go into a meeting with 6. Especially as I feel Bowes is on borrowed time and I’d rather see him pick up some points. on paper it probably does make us stronger. But Oxford are very strong at home, hopefully we keep it within 10. Can’t see Dayle scoring as much as he did last time.
  18. Wouldn’t put it past them. Reserves are stronger than last year. Pederson not quite as strong as they’d of hoped yet, still early days. Hausl looks to be struggling
  19. Still fear that we are light on certain tracks. Newman capable of an off night, so is Kerr. Factor in Bowes not scoring. Don’t get me wrong we are certainly a top 2 side this season. But i fully expect Glasgow to make changes and suddenly be competing
  20. If Bowes doesn’t turn his fortunes around then he’d be my first choice.
  21. It could, but I reckon points wise, Kyle and Bowes will do a similar job at reserve as Will and Cooper, and then I’d also say the kids might do a similar job that Kyle and Bowes are doing at 2/4.
  22. I’m sure Glasgow will make changes. They’ve had a couple 5 point riders turn into 8/9 point riders the past few years. The way they’ve built their team they’re stuck with their reserves so it’s only Hausl and Pedersen who can make way
  23. Bike time should do him good. I think his place in the team is safe until his average drops below 5, when it’s about to drop below 5 that’s when I think you have to take action.
