  1. MJJ over Emil at Birmingham, Emil not quite fully on it yet. And potentially Zagar over Brennan if he has the same away meeting at Thursday. Rew might have a point to prove as well. It’ll be a close meeting. I couldn’t call it, although obviously I’m hoping witches win!
  2. Anyone see Emil social media post ! He had is bike on a stand in the middle of the PGE stadium track and put : My puppy on@pgenarodowy ahead of @speedwaygp ...
  3. As I had to watch Leicester and Lynn on TV instead of watching Ipswich, does anybody know why Emil retired in heat 15? Were we on for at least 3 points or was he last anyway?
  4. Neither, I posted on Ipswich forum earlier that he has been blocked from three engine tuner companies.
  5. Picko is Sheffield’s outstanding rider. He does perform very well at home! Excited to see the home meeting. Good to see some close riding and making riders work and figure out best lines! Congrats Sheffield!
  6. More info on Emil if believed correctly from Poland. Direct translation from news article below: The problem is the engines. Only in one match, in Rybnik, did Sayfutdinov score. Then, as a member of the KS Toruń supervisory board, Adam Krużyński, revealed to us, he was supposed to use the old engine of the Dutchman Bert van Essen. However, in the other matches there were problems. - For various reasons, Emil has closed doors to Ashley Holloway and Ryszard Kowalski's workshop. I've also heard something about Peter Johns, but I could be wrong. Nevertheless, this limits the room for maneuver.
  7. A part of me thinks it’s a clever move, if we win then it’s all credit to the riders and Richie for changing the numbers. If we lose it’s an excuse that we tried something but it didn’t work out and we’ve learnt from it.
  8. Do we think the riding order is for Emil to nullify picko scoring a max? Be super weird to see Doyle and Brennan line up for heat 13!
  9. This will be our first defeat I personally think. Sheffield are so strong at home, Doyle had a poor Grand Prix and a poor meeting at the weekend was lucky to not get excluded twice for moving! His bikes look slow abroad, hopefully he will have it figured out for this one back on English soil. Emil isn’t having an amazing start to season but a good start. This will be his first time the team needs to be firing on all cylinders from 1-7. Picko will get double figures with J. Holder. Can any of ours hit double figures? Whatever the score it’ll be a great matchup… I’m gutted I can’t be there as I’m flying early on Friday to Warsaw. Sheffield 53 Witches 37
  10. I only got into speedway 3 years ago now due to getting into a relationship with my Polish girlfriend and when I visited her in Gorzów she took me to a home meeting and it got me hooked (vs Falubaz) I just wish more could be done to promote it on a national scale here. People (including me) do like a back and forth I’ve noticed, about clubs and some digging/banter, but genuinely everyone has the same outlook that they love speedway. Our passion just needs to be pushed to a wider audience and nights like last night need to be key for promotion. She watched last night and loves British speedway now, before she didn’t even know anything about it. Genuinely the sport needs to just have people’s eyes open to it, instead of trying to search for it.
  11. Id have to agree that the GP should be staged there next year. It does have the best look and feel for a British SGP. Would Glasgow ever get considered? Never been nor watched any racing but I know they are holding the SGP2 qualification there… what’s the size of it in regards to attendance? If anyone is interested in seeing the crowd levels at Ipswich v Lynn the. Go to YouTube on Ipswich speedway or British speedway just uploaded it (Adam Ellis and Thompson 5-1) and forward to 2:00 mark and they pan around the stadium.
  12. Nah don’t land until 15:00 so I’ll miss it dammit!
  13. If you read another post you would have seen I said I can’t make it as I’m in Ipswich, on a Monday that’s almost an impossible task when you work Monday / Tuesday, Belle Vue is an amazing track, just totally out the way for people down south on a Monday night. Then you have to rely on the locals filling the stadium.
  14. Well according to your post even when people know about it they can’t afford to go because you have to go to SGP 😂!
  15. Granted they would pay for the Grand Prix but it’s only another £25 or whatever to watch the British final. It’s not a massive amount to experience another meeting. Totally agree with it being held somewhere else though. Needs to be more central for all fans. Not just for the north west speedway fans. This is when it would be perfect to have a new stadium for Coventry Bees to hold it!
  16. If I were a Belle Vue fan I’d be embarrassed slightly. Bewley is going for x4 times and you can’t make the effort. I promise you if I had Grand Prix and British speedway at foxhall (would never happen!) I’d be at both and all league meetings… the feeling of being at a speedway event is brilliant. Manchester stuck up as far as possible for any witches fans to make the journey on a Monday!
  17. Belle Vue fans had enough of too much speedway at NSS tells you it deffo needs to a new home next year even if it’s just for a one off. Crowd will be poor tonight and not a great look when you are on TNT… same as Lynn. Hoping for a really good night of racing !
  18. My money is on Thompson to cause an upset, not perhaps win, but could knock one of the GP boys out of the semi run off... I seem to remember one of them missed it last year... ant it wasn't the home favourite!
  19. More interesting hearing Picko say they have a best 1-7 in the league. Not sure any other 6 at the moment stands up to Thompson! Having said that, I could see them beating us in the next meeting. They are dominant at home and our boys don’t ride the best there.
