I’ve been watching the replays that have been on YouTube and they are very welcome in the off season. I do however wonder what management have seen in Smith that has resulted in him being back in the team. He had a decent meeting against the comets but a fair amount of that was because of bad luck for the away side. I also wonder what Max Perry was asking for that he didn’t end up as a Bandit. He was brilliant on both visits so it can’t have been a performance issue.

I honestly don’t have a problem with the team or any rider. My gripe is with the way rules in British speedway are just made up with very little effort or thought. I’m still waiting for an explanation for the points deduction to Workington last year. What is the criteria that needs to be met when the 8% reduction is applied for? How does that reduction work along side other reductions? I have quite a few other questions but it’s a waste of time listing them as the first two won’t be answered clearly. As much as I’m a bore, the point in any rule or law in sports is it will affect all the same. If the application of either is inconsistent it brings the whole show into disrepute.

That is what I thought 😂

Is adding the percentage reductions together before application within the rules? It certainly doesn’t seem fair. I know it’s not a huge difference but it is different. Maybe someone with a better grasp of the rules could explain.

It’s at 6.30pm according to the Bandits website.

Bonus no fixture the weekend of the Wroclaw GP.

Broadly Guy is better known but I don’t think anyone who has even a passing interest in motorbike racing will not have heard of John McGinness and he is a big fan of speedway so maybe would be open to doing a little promo for the sport.

Championship Predictions 2026
Mgas replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
At some point we have to be due some good luck. I’d really like to see Berwick in the playoffs but unless the new team members can really learn Shielfield quickly it’s not gonna happen again. -
Why would they be looking for a short term replacement. Bowles is hardly worth waiting around for. I’m sure a club like Poole can attract an at least equal replacement, even at short notice.

Fully agree, covering injuries or illness is one thing but a rider having somewhere better to be is not ok it’s outright disrespectful to the people who pay their money week in week out.

I think Danyon is still waiting for more surgery.

After listening to total access, I think there’s a good chance of an Aussie on an assessed 4 points. No idea who though.
-
I think PK could be captain in 26 and that could be what swayed the decision. I expect him to end up at no5 which if Morris is performing to his potential is a very strong pointy end. Hopefully Palovaara can maintain his average and the last singing will be someone who will improve.
-
I find it hard to believe there’s no place for Perry in the championship. If he doesn’t get a place there must be more to it than his performance. He is a kid with potential who I’d hoped to see at Berwick. Maybe he is asking for whatever Glasgow gave him.

If you believe the interview released today the last signing hasn’t happened yet. -

Think Berwick will finish the team with an assessed 4 pointer -
Seems to be putting a lot of pressure on the last signing which apparently hasn’t happened yet. Looking like an assessed 4 pointer

I think if Cook does sign and he is committed it’s a battle between him and JJ to no1. As good has Batch has been in the past he isn’t at that standard now.

Total access with Greg Blair interviewing Stewart Dickson on team building is out for anyone interested. I watched it on instagram but I guess it will be on Facebook and YouTube as well.

A very strong reserve pairing who will continue steady progression. I think Hagon will end up being the strongest reserve. He could end up putting a couple of points on his average after being in the main team this year. He could end up causing himself issues for 27. I hope he doesn’t end up in a similar situation Hook has found himself in.

Your not wrong, just had a look on the wife’s facebook and they all seem thrilled.

Smith must be very cheap or something. There are so many other options. I really hope he proves me wrong. He had very close to the full season to make an account of himself and ended up dropping over a point. I’d have much rather have taken a chance on a youngster. Smith has had his opportunities.
-
Oh yay.
-
First signing is Dan Thompson.
-
His average is so low because he dropped over a point this year
