The lad needs a reset and an injury free period. I’m not entirely sure the scunny fans will be happy about that being their lookout however. Replacing their second best scorer.

Twice Oxford was clearly blamed. Are you reading the same statement?
-
Rushen’s statement today blaming his in ability to ride entirely on Oxford. While I get the point it does seem like a little immature. Undoubtedly someone who should know better has okayed that to be released.

With the end to the season JJ had at Berwick I was very surprised he wasn’t in the team from the get go. Great signing he has been brilliant at Workington so far.

Something would have had to happen for there to be a debrief. I’m not sure that even Mr Dodds with his wealth of knowledge and years of experience can put a positive angle on the last two weeks.

I’d rather spend the evening sucking the snot out of the dogs nose. -

On the plus side extra tickets will be sold when the bike rally is on. As I said before I think the rain off is good for us. I can’t imagine any one being happy watching possibly 3 guests and R/R. I was looking forward to being trackside tonight but with hindsight we have been very lucky with the forecast even if it wasn’t as bad as could have been. -

Agreed, I’m not in Berwick itself but not that far away and even if I’d dosnt rain any more today it’s not going to dry out. -

Rain is possibly a blessing in disguise as I’m not sure we have much of a team available for tomorrow. -
Wood in for Battye and R/R for PK on Saturday. Some big performances required from the bandits if we are going to win I think. Going to be a tough one.

Somehow we are having a great and terrible start to the season. We are quite used to bad luck at Shielfield unfortunately. Fingers crossed we can get some good guests as I’m not sure who could be a temporary replacement for either. But if there’s someone available the Berwick management will find them if last year is anything to go by.

Glasgow v Edinburgh, BSN, Sunday 3 May 3pm

I will happily pay full price if they get a camera stabiliser (camera work was forgivable) but a commentator who has next to no clue what’s going on not so. The racing at Glasgow is brilliant but I can’t listen to the guy who doesn’t know the names of the home riders ( when did Kevin Peter sign?) or even the team name of the opponents Plymouth Devils. But absolutely the worst part is when he talks over the other guy, who really seems to know how to do the job. -
Enjoy that tonight. Could hear everything clearly, some decent racing, big home win and the aggregate point. Daughter got some signatures on her program she filled in herself for the first time. My son was looking for Buddy the bandit but couldn’t see him. Anyone know why he hasn’t been around this season?

Im not sure Sam is someone who could be “payed off” he is from a family with a long speedway and motorcycle racing history. Not to mention they have plenty of money of their own. I’m quite sure Sam dosnt struggle financially in his speedway career.
-
Workington were wrong for signing him in the first place even as a stop gap that wasn’t good for his confidence. He isn’t ready. I’d read a bit about how far behind he was but hadn’t realised how true it was until I saw. He was around 3/4 of a lap behind at Berwick. The lad needs another year or two at development league level. I’m not sure even the most staunch Poole hater could have seriously complained if they had done the same.

I think they have got the guest situation spot on for this weekend. Dayle is doing well and good on him. He never lacked in effort last year I’m chuffed it’s paying off for him. He knows the Edinburgh track well. Along with VP and Lasse’s knowledge we might just sneak a win. Sam had some really top notch races for Berwick and should do ok on Saturday. Obviously gutted to not have Reid as he was showing he has something a bit special. Hopefully he heals up quickly and we get to see plenty more of him this year.

Bandits v Comets KO Cup 1/4 Final Sat 25/4/26 7pm

If you find that somewhat threatening you must feel threatened an awful lot. He didn’t say it was the worst decision he has seen in speedway he said it was the worst decision since his first marriage. Which was obviously a bit tongue in cheek playing to the crowd. he did obviously over step the mark a bit and heading up to the referees box at the time he did was a bad look but I will add he was only in the referees box for a few seconds the rest of the time he was in the media box. I enjoy Greg’s commentary on centre green. The incident has been reported to the SCB so it’s upto them now. We all have bad days at work. -
Poor kid should never have been signed. I do hope his confidence isn’t completely shattered.
