  1. i heard someone saying he changed to his second bike but im not 100%
  2. I always get there for gates opening to beat the queue for burgers for my kids. And the car park was busy then. There very few empty seats in the main stand. I’m not sure where the idea it was poorly attended came from.
  3. I wasn’t there so I don’t know. Regardless he was airlifted to hospital so I wish him all the very best.
  4. It will be up to Connor/his family to decide if and when anything is released not the club. The club asking people to be patient and not speculate seems very reasonable to me.
  5. I’m not sure win at all costs is in our repertoire. Take an available advantage when we can yes as would anyone. I don’t think many existing fans, newcomers or even tigers left feeling shortchanged last night. There wasn’t much overtaking but there was plenty entertainment. I spoke with diamonds fans that will be coming back and a couple from Germany who are following Leon who might not be back and tigers who follow the team everywhere. All were smiling. Crowd seemed ok to me. Back straight had a few gaps but the main stand had people searching for seats.
  6. I had expected that to be the case. I know it hasn’t gone unnoticed by the club. Back straight has been an issue for a long time, entrance end of the grandstand has been getting worse since you handed the reins over to Greg. If some other supporters of all the clubs that use the system want to get together and look at funding updated equipment I’d happily be part of that.
  7. It was forecast for showers so I think the track was prepared intentionally dry. I don’t think they expected to have to do much watering. Regardless it worked to the home advantage which is always the aim. just to add the track team know exactly what bomber likes as they did spend a year preparing the track for him, so well done to them for their part in nullifying that threat.
  8. Glasgow walked out to enemy by Greenday, which was good. It was a mix of all sorts after that. The lovely couple from Newcastle in front were loving the country music. The biggest issue at Berwick was the sound system failing.
  9. We always sit at the same place, the first group of seat in the grandstands close to the loo as my dads legs aren’t great and the speaker cuts in and out intermittently and has for a while.
  10. I have to admit I was a little worried about Sam coming back to Berwick as a reserve, as he was supposed to be last season. I had half thought he could have been the match winner for Glasgow. He had a few really high points as a bandit and I expected him to be a real danger as a tigers reserve. He does have the talent and I expected (still do) him to shine at reserve. Possibly lacking a little confidence after being thrust into the main team last year? I guess it comes down to how much patience Glasgow has for him.
  11. Speakers on the home straight were crap also have been for at least two years. I don’t know who’s responsibility they are but maybe some joint fundraising between the football clubs and the speedway is needed to replace some of the older kit. I’m no good at organisation but would happily help out if it means we can hear the results and times.
  12. Flint and Battye were the stars of the meeting. Really impressed with Battye especially I said at p+p he looked the real deal. Not sure what Bombers issue was but he looked less than average tonight which was most strange. Exciting season ahead at Berwick I think, with a team that should be capable of away wins aswell.
  13. I think jack has to be showing he can improve and at least up his average to what he originally joined on. Can’t be too hard on Reid until he has a few home matches under his belt but he needs to be proving he is worth the 4 point spend or it negates Morris’s bargain average. I think it will be closer than last night but as you say we will need some stand out performances to take the win.
  14. That will the photos that are doing the rounds. Looks spectacular just not typical speedway weather.
  15. How wet was it? Some of the online photos make the place look like a swamp. Ashfield is probably the best prepared track in the country it surely can’t have been as bad as the photos suggest.
  16. Could be a tough one for Berwick. Some of the bandits have had little track time. lasse has done well at Berwick in the past, Palovaara hasn’t ridden here much, Battye never been round the place competitively. I think if the new bandits can hit the ground running it will be close but some of the Tigers know the place like the back of their hand. Hopefully a close meeting with a bandits win of course 😉
  17. Not sure I understand what you are saying, definitely improving forecast but still doubtful. I think what I was trying to get at was any extra tigers fans coming down because of a missed meeting will only improve Saturday.
  18. Very doubtful that Friday goes ahead but Saturday looks ok always a good atmosphere when Glasgow visits.
  19. Fantastic job by Wood. He was very consistent for Berwick last year. Hopefully he is making another step forward this year. Definitely wouldn’t have minded him being back a Berwick this year.
  20. Yes in the hour since I first posted Ive WhatsApped some mates. I don’t communicate with people via carrier pigeon.
  21. I’ve been speaking with some friends I’ve made at Shielfield including one who is a club sponsor and I most definitely am not alone in that view.
  22. I have no wish for Oxford to fail but changing Berwick fixtures for Oxford doesn’t seem right. If nothing else how many other teams would have that luxury? Berwick fans pay their money just the same as any other club’s supporters.
