I think Promoters now fully understand that trying to get a fixture on as the weather conspires against them is not the way to go, attendance is always hit as supporters invariably don’t travel, if the weather is iffy. Personally I would much sooner clubs call it off early if the forecast is dreadful and clearly most supporters support this course of action, as you say standing around for hours while track staff attempt to make the track race-able generally didn’t produce anything like a good meeting. The cost saving for an early postponement is generally good as well, Of course their is always someone who doesn’t support this view but thankfully common sense prevails. -

I do hope the weather forecast isn’t right as IainB will have an eppy fit if it’s rained off. -

And how often has that happened this year. -
Panthers entertain the Stars in the B fixture at Alwalton and recent changes to the Lynn team make it interesting. Peterborough are again going rider replacement for Ulrich Ostergaard. I would expect the changes to ensure a few from Lynn make the short journey up the A47. Peterborough: Ulrich Ostergaard R/R, Bjarne Pedersen, Michael Palm Toft, Scott Nicholls, Chris Harris, Jordan Palin, Hans Andersen. Kings Lynn: Richard Lawson, Ben Barker, Erik Riss, Lewis Kerr, Thomas Jorgensen, Connor Mountain, Kasper Andersen.

King's Lynn Stars 2020

Love the KL press release today Moving at this time means Heeps and Wells will be available to other Premiership sides in a reasonable timeframe should they be of interest. Now honestly which Premiership club in their right mind is going to be interested in signing either of these two this year. Heeps has been utterly dreadful since he arrived from Ipswich and Wells hasn’t really cut at reserve either. -

It’s certainly deleted according to supplementary regs V2.

I think that’s a very good point and this years first ten or twelve heats have generally been a trapping competition and then follow the leader. I can understand the organisers wanting the winner to get the most points on the night, so just the give winner 25 points and everyone one else gets what they scored in the qualifying heats and semis. I am still of the opinion that when every ride counted the qualifying heats were more hotly contested.

Most riders could stay on but in the GP,s it pays you to go down because it invariably gets you a second bite of the cherry Lambert was in a great position but blew it, how hard is it to watch the tapes go up before you let the clutch go. Riders need to understand if you move before the tapes go up your excluded, none of this warning crap, they are all experienced riders and are just trying to gain an advantage. Woffinden actually made some starts last night but looked like he was on a lawnmower the way everyone went past him. If I was his in his team I would be very concerned he just isn’t riding well at all. The racing was good towards the end but the first half was very processional, the tracks all look to slick with very little passing early on.

I really don’t know why people continually bang on about one big league because it isn’t going to happen, primarily because of a lack of available riders and two the fact that quite a few clubs cannot or won’t put a competitive championship side together. Their is still a difference between the leagues but it’s definitely getting closer.
