  1. It's disgraceful that British Speedway still finds time to entertain riders like Mitchell Davey. There have been countless foreign riders who are sub-standard but shift around from team to team, without ever improving. The PL isn't about being a meal-ticket for the likes of Davey, Jade Mudgway, Max Dilger, Alex Edberg etc. Two seasons or over 21, averaging less then 5 - get rid!
  2. Young lads who just happen to ride a speedway bike for a living in getting p*ssed shocker!
  3. Never heard of him. That Andy Freegard geezer is tops though apparently!!!!

  7. Phil Cornwell failed to score for Paisley at Crayford in 1976 in a 51-27 defeat.

  9. The old boys club of Speedway closing ranks again. How could a publication possibly criticise a referee!
  10. By lifting Holder did momentarily stop turning, that's why Pedersen came off. Stone-wall exclusion.
  11. You've summed up the incident perfectly there. I have doubts that Pedersen would have taken full advantage of any Holder exclusion anyway, he simply wasn't going well enough. However, Ackroyd's decision was an absolute shocker. Holder's front wheel waso ff the ground and he was running straight across the corner, exclusion every day of the week to any ref with a modicum of bottle.
  12. One of the worst decisions I've ever seen!!!! = Then the track got invaded by the great unwashed of Australia, combined IQ of about 7.
  13. That decision is a disgrace. How the hell can Holder stay in there????!!!!

    Peter Smith

http://wwosbackup.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=sriders&action=display&thread=2756 The 2nd one listed is Peter E. Smith. The Swedish Peter Smith's anglocised name stems from his American Great-Grandfather who emigrated to Sweden.
  15. What a beaut! Should wind the Turbot Twins' necks in a ratchet or two!
  16. Pedersen, you legend!!! Show the joker for the farce that it is.
  17. Hope it's a better meeting than Thursday's, that was garbage. Unfortunately, I fear a walk in the park for the Aussies. Hopefully Nicki can mix it up a bit to make it entertaining.

  19. Clive Hitch was really unlucky. 1965 he rode for Halifax 1966 he rode for Swindon and Halifax won the league 1967 he rode for Coventry and Swindon won the league 1968 he returned to Swindon and Coventry won the league!
  20. Well my Sky + buggered up and I only got as far as heat 16. The majority of what I saw was a complete borefest, but it seems like I missed most of the best bits?? At least I didn't have to suffer the sight of Hancock winning again and that 'All American' fake grin of his - so not all bad.
