Claus Vissing........ Scored 13+1 at Berwick for Workington in the Border Trophy. Scored 12 at Berwick for Workington in the Championship. Flies round Glasgow......Plymouth, Edinburgh.........and on a 7.39 Away average for Worky....... Available on a 6.34 average.

Vissing has always been good at Shielfield.Had a bit of falling out when the Anderson’s were Promoting.Tends to go missing at times though.Would be a good signing,(if we need one).

I know it’s hard to judge what is really going on but surely it’s time for the BSPL to step in and help Berwick out. It’s not impossible for them to contact Craig Cook and sort out whether he is going to ride or not. If they can’t contact him or he won’t respond then take away his licence to ride. Not a perfect situation but at least everyone knows where they stand. Let’s not forget that Cookie has a bit of history regarding BSPL events over the years as well

With the Championship Pairs taking place today at Workington, and unless he`s moved Craig Cook living locally, you`d think there must be a possibility that the Berwick promotion and management, attending the meeting, could knock on his front door and get this saga put to bed before the season starts in a couple of weeks.

"Flogging a dead horse"  springs to mind but you never can tell  - miracles can happen ( allegedly ) just not very often !

Don't be silly that's far to sensible and as we all know that word doesn't exist in speedway

Still unacceptable and needs to be addressed now not later

They even had one of the promoters in the BSN studio yesterday and nobody thought to put the question to her of "Where is Craig Cook?"... his absence was explained during commentary as "one thing or another" 😂

I genuinely find the silence from Berwick’s promotion at this stage absolutely astounding. I know theres various happy clappers on here who worship any words that they’re told by them but they’re having everyone for absolute mugs just as Cook is.

Even the happy clappers are quiet on this one🤔

I don't understand the silence. If Cookie has been to a doctor & been signed off work with a mental health issue, can they not just admit that?

Would that not be a good way of letting all men know "it's ok to ask for help / it's ok not to be ok / mental health is nothing to help ashamed of" if Cookie doesn't want his issues made public, Berwick could simply say "Cook has a doctor's note & isn't fit to ride" I imagine that basic information isn't breaching any confidentiality laws?

If I tell my work I'm unable to come in because of stress / anxiety / depression then that's acceptable, if I just didn't turn up then I'm breaking the rules.

If Cook has simply not replied to any of Berwick's attempts to contact him, then I don't get why they haven't admitted that (and shifts the blame away from then).

Missing the Pairs wasn't breaking any rules (Lawson missed the meeting too) so unless he has a meeting abroad (like Klindt) you'd assume he should get a 28 day ban for "withholding his services" now.
