Poole Pirates Vs Redcar Bears June 11th

Recommended Posts

After the surprising, but brilliant win at Glasgow on Friday this Wednesday the Redcar Bears arrive at Wimborne Road.

Over the last 2 seasons this has been a tough encounter with not much between the teams at the end of 15 heats.

Charles Wright, Eric Riss and Jason Edwards who all have had good meetings at Poole and then add in ex Pirate Danny King it could be a close encounter.

Where I think Poole are stronger is at no2, Tobias against Jake-Mullford and I believe that we may have a slight advantage at reserve.

Will depend on what Jody Scott scores don't think Ace Pijper will do much.

The reserves could be the key.

Thoughts?

Ace has had the odd good race at Poole, so depends if he has his gating boots on.

Redcar have nearly won at Poole a few times now over last few years but we always managed to get the win over the line in last 5 heats.

This could come down to a superheat! I think the meeting will just flip one way and then the other, just depends who has momentum at the end.

Bears to keep it close early on but cant see Wright, with 2 GP’s at the weekend, taking any risks, so Pirates to take with a late surge.

Lot depends on Edwards & Mulford.

But would be nice to be wrong!
