mikebv
I truly cannot believe the negativity on here .. It is almost like people are not taking into consideration the innovative, successful, marketing genius of those who have run the sport for the past 15 years plus....

And to be brutally honest, he's probably looking at where the sport sits and thinking, "do i really want to get involved with that again?" I get the feeling many will try to this time and rightfully so. They’ve failed miserably on their watch. Does sometimes feel like "don't worry about it, these mugs will come whatever we serve up". Out of interest, as someone who no longer reads the speedway star, how are they reporting on this? Are they being critical or are they just pretending everything is ok like they did with the Coventry and Peterborough fiasco in 2011? FAST GATER
15 hours ago, THE DEAN MACHINE said: Perhaps we have got this all wrong? To find out what made speedway so great back in the day the bspl and speedway futures have been watching old episodes of world of sport with Dickie Davies and they have put their collective heads together and decided that Kendo Nagasaki is the marketing idea to follow, Northampton will not be revealed to the public until a few years time and compete all their matches as a complete mystery to the public, see there is us lot slagging them off when really a genius idea was being implemented all along Showing your age there Dean ! As I remember all the Wrestling greats had second jobs even though the were on the TV each week traveling all over the country perhaps lesson to be learnt there by riders of today . They have been quite critical of the whole thing in several pieces written... Fairly done as well...

Top tune Everlasting Love. I remember when Joe Johnson from Bradford became world snooker champion in the 80s. He brought out a cover of that song. It wasn’t bad to be fair though obviously not as good as Love Affair.
