cowboy cookie returns?
Lots of questions going into this. Can Dan Thompson re find his early season form, Will Edward’s best his opposite number & can Brennan find some consistency. The Witches should pick up the bonus point but at the moment seem to have found some inconsistency & are certainly making hard work of things at time. For Leicester the big question is how will Becker far. Should be a good match fingers crossed the Witches find their early season form.

Think you are reading too much into that. Riding at No.2 is the obvious position to slot him into after his injury.

He's ridden at 2 for the Lions all season until his injury anyway.
89buttons Posted yesterday at 07:17 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 07:17 AM Amazed to see Becker being back I thought he was going to be out for the season! Glad he’s healed/healing well was having arguably his best season to date before the smash
ShanoXtra Posted yesterday at 10:40 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 10:40 AM Ipswich facing Leicester on the first return of Becker is an advantage id say, lions have used RR so brilliantly recently and Becker won’t be full race pace on British soil just yet, this could be the factor we need to win!

Quite. If the Witches face the Aces in the semi I can see them being beaten over two legs - past performance is no guarantee of future return! MP78
I think this will be tight... I'm amazed at Becker's recovery, but like others have said, this meeting might be too soon for him to score the points that R/R has been getting in his absence. Appreciate we all have opinions, just interested in your reasoning for this. Belle Vue are simply not as good and by a margin. Of course it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that they’d win over two legs, but it will be an upset and against all logical reasoning if they did so with two full strength teams. If Ipswich lose to Belle Vue in the semi final and we are at full strength, then we’ve choked IMO and failed badly as a team.

At Foxhall recently I could have easily seen the Aces get a 5-1 in Ht13 rather than the other way around. Thompson showed he can register a poor score as can others and I think Aces can beat Ipswich at their place and bring a few points in hand. I'd have put £20 on the Witches reserves outscoring the Aces reserves but they didn't. Speedway can be unpredictable - I though Redcar would muller Plymouth on Saturday but far from it, they nearly lost! Only 1 Ipswich rider has beat Dan Bewley in those 3 meetings. Would think Ipswich would win but as you say nothing guaranteed (2 seasons ago Ipswich beat Belle Vue when they weren't favoured to do so in the playoffs). We failed badly as a team getting beat by Lynn in the cup semi, that’s why I am personally not feeling over confident.
