Poole fans seem to be unable to distinguish between a forecast of light rain and an actual heavy downpour. I assume that most of them are not that stupid (but I might be wrong) , and that they are simply seeking to wind-up Oxford fans.

Yesterday it wasn't raining and according to the forecast the probability of rain in the evening was 30% to 50%... and it turned out to be 0% until around 9 o'clock... Today it is raining and according to the forecast the probability of rain in the evening is 70% to 90%... Spot the difference....

Oxford v Redcar was off due to heavy rain that had already arrived. Yes, the forecast is awful too, but the main reason is that the track is already wet through and saturated. If it was just the rain that has already arrived the meeting could still be on, it is because there is more rain forecast that caused the postponement. As Lisa posted yesterday the forecast was bad, a lot worse than the 50% quoted by some.

And just like that, a Poole fan has proven your point 😄😄 Clear as day difference from a meeting simply called off on forecast and one largely called off because of rain that has already arrived. 2

Tim G
2 minutes ago, foreverblue said: Just to prove my point you said largely called off! It was absolutely chucking it down with rain last night and I doubt very much the meeting would have gone ahead even if we had dry day. Much heavier than last week when the meeting with Leicester was called off. it’s also been raining during today. You had no rain and called a meeting off so totally different. But the forecast was very bad, you can't always wait for it to happen before you decide to call it off.
