They were bar to bar on the backstraight of lap 2 and got tangled together just before entering bend 3. Seen a few comments on social media from people who weren't there that seem to know everything, or so they think.

Diamonds85
What average would Jack Roberts come in on? I know Buxton have 4.36 remaining, would he be an assessed 4.00? How does it work? Did he even have an average back in the day? I can't really remember him tbh, but he looks good. Perfect rider to help make a comeback into British speedway, we need more riders, not less. Average of over 4 from 2nd division around 18 years ago.

RS50
So, Buxton ride tomorrow. Now late May, and still don't know who their 7th rider is. Any news on why Etherington not racing? Any news on the line ups for the MDL match?

RS50
Made my first visit to Buxton since re-opening,on Sunday 24 May. I would like to say a big thank you for everyone who put time effort and money in to venture. However I do fear for it. Start time was nearer to 3.30 than the stated time. I appreciate ambulance was late, but rider introductions could have been done without this. Meeting just seemed to take ages. Noticed some leaving as early as heat 8. I had hoped to leave shortly after 5pm, having watched both NL and MDL match. When an interval was announced at 5.20 pm, with only 12 races completed, a few others joined me in leaving. Wonder how many will return. Thankfully didn't have the usual Buxton cold weather. A few simple and easy changes needed.

Buxton has always been an afternoon into the evening out it’s not a time constrained place. It doesn’t need to be, I feel the majority like this and probably know this. Why rush. Nothing needs to change.

But then a rider like Ingram after one NDL season with a sub 6.00 ave is having no difficulty.

You seem to have a Speedway promoters outlook.... I’m a diehard who has travelled the world to watch Speedway but yesterday at Buxton was a tough watch! Still at least it didn’t take 7 hours and 15 minutes which it once took at a meeting that I went to in Argentina!

As a new venture a learning curve is always undertaken. Things can and will go wrong . So far this season all of the things that have gone wrong , are all miner things that will be looked into I'm sure.

Laurence Rogers has been about speedway long enough to get a grip on these things before they happen.
