Really I doubt Tony R had any issues with any track, he loved riding at Poole and we all loved having him.

Ok, i stand corrected. When we were in the Prem, there was an increase as everyone used to moan about it when it first started and was home and away. 

They must have changed it back as either they know they already overcharge or crowds not good enough to think fans are willing to pay for it. 

Also the debate about Poole not having a big crowd like Ipswich. I don't know how many fans were at Ipswich but if you look up Poole's maximum capacity allowed it is 3,800. So how we going to get same crowd as theirs? Assuming Ipswich had more than that.

We shouldn’t need a centralised track preparation protocol, but Poole are forcing the sport’s hand.

Home track advantage is one thing; it’s inevitable through regular racing, but what we saw last night was racing prevention.

An utterly dreadful advert for a sport that is dying a slow death and the worst thing? It’s intentional.

And I accept my description that this was a televised event wasn't strictly correct. But if I was considering offering a TV contract to any part of British Speedway, this is a meeting I might well have made a point of watching. A potentially exciting match up of two top teams. If anyone thinks that this was a good advert for the sport and therefore worth putting money into, I'm afraid I don't agree.

I’m referring to genuine overtaking during a race.

If you want to count someone correcting a poor gate and selecting the wrong line as a pass within the first half lap, then be my guest.

To be quite frank, there’s a lot to be debated here, but your comment is downright unintelligent. Don’t quote me again.

A lot of GPs are gate and go, and the all the riders turn up and just have to get on and deal with it.

Does that make it acceptable and tolerable?

Let’s not beat around the bush; instances like last night will be a catalyst for the death of this sport.

As I said last night, I encouraged two Bournemouth based colleagues to attend or tune in last night. Non-speedway fans. One tuned in with his son and won’t be doing so again. To the neutral (our target market), it was a dire spectacle.

Poole can enjoy their trophy cabinet in 5-10 years when their only meetings are exhibition ones, twice per-season, because UK speedway is dead.

I repeat: that wasn’t home track advantage, that was racing prevention.

biggest surprise was the continued pictures of the tractor going round and round scaping the blue line, it just showed how little shale was on the track, more sparks being generated than grip!

It’s just sad.

Watching Flint, Nagel and Rowe in particular throw their bikes and bodies all over the place, but generate zero pace or traction was a travesty.

Even Lawson - a master of Wimborne Road - gated second and couldn’t lay a glove on Harris.

I would like to see good racing over losing a meeting but hey ho what ever floats your boat to win at all costs.

And Bomber got just four points that evening, not winning any races....

The track wasn't very conducive to passing that night I presume? 

Was it Glasgow's fault that the meeting was staged on the same night as SGP2 in which 2 of their riders were racing?

Guests are an accepted part of the sport. No matter who is representing your team you support your team. No doubt next year it will be a different group of riders.

The track was un-raceable that evening. Had it not been a playoff, with pressure to get it run, it would have been called off

I agree best team match i saw at Berwick back in the day was 2009 home loss to King's Lynn. Racing was off the chart.
