Stranger things have happened, could Poole be considering Eddie Kennett on a re-assesed average.

3 laps then pulls up injured R/R for rest of season 😛, so can get riders who perform on certain tracks,  maybe been somewhere before ? Any comments lewy 😄

I know it's a joke, but 1) it was Kennett's 3rd ride he got injured in, not 3rd lap. 2) Plymouth didn't break any rules. 3) the rules haven't been changed since then, so BSPL must think they're still suitable. 4) Have any injured heat leaders been replaced since then?

While it's easy to mock Plymouth, no-one else has been in the same situation & done any differently (unless I've forgotten someone).

Most recent examples are Jason Doyle at Ipswich last year (different league I know) & Erik Riss at Redcar this year, neither of those teams could find a heat leader replacement.

Most recent heat leader signings have been "spare" riders coming back from injury (Nicholls) or a ban (Morris). Riders of this ability are not normally available to cover after the season starts.

Better mention Poole now, I think Kennett would be a good signing for the Pirates if his average dropped to 4.00, for example.

A bit surprised nobody has been on here yet to report Beau Bailey's win in the Victoria State Title today??!

So he'll get a visa no problem, now lets wait and see how much he thinks he deserves....!?

How did Poole’s new superstar Bowes get on? 🤣

Hopefully something will come out soon on his signing. (fingers crossed it's Poole 🙂).

Understands the below were the top 4, but can't find a full report on individual scores so cant see how Bowes got on. Noy in top 4 though.

Victorian Title Results

500cc

1st Beau Bailey

2nd Justin Sedgmen

3rd Declan Kennedy

4th Mitchell McDiarmid

He isn’t doing championship anyway. So doesn’t matter.

If he ends up coming to the UK whoever gets him will be onto a major winner , in my opinion he's the best young aussie since Darcy Ward and like Darcy he's an out and out racer.

Only eight home state riders (including female racer Tayla Street) were seeded to this meeting.  All the out of state guys (including Bailey, Kennedy and McDiarmid) had to pre-qualify in a one-lap shoot-out prior to the actual Championship.      Fraser Bowes may not have survived the cull!

End of the day he is rare breed like Darcy, yes we need to be sensible with pay but this is an entertainment business and he will bring that in mass if he arrives at Poole. I remember when Poole snoozed on Darcy when he came down in the second half for Boston, he stood out and we should have got him at the time as an asset! Know assets aren’t around now but a year later he cost us 35k with a transfer from KL at the time. Long and short break the bank for Beau he will be worth it!

Unlikely to bring masses of entertainment on a gate and go track like you have at Poole. In last seasons playoff final Bomber got nowhere near passing anyone, and he is currently the best rider in Britain at overtaking. If Bailey is as good as the hype (I've never seen him race) then his talents would be better displayed elsewhere. Hopefully he does get a Championship spot somewhere next year though as I'd like a chance to watch him round Ashfield.

As long as he stays small and light weight he’ll be compeditive around poole , train and eat as little as you can to remain healthy, great for slick uk tracks

If Poole refuse to move up due to costs, they are hardly likely to break the bank trying to win the Champ.
