Bagpuss
Odd take, dont think there's any blame attached to anybody, just a statement explaining the facts of the situation.

Twice Oxford was clearly blamed. Are you reading the same statement?

He continued to ride so why would he need medical documentation? The rule is bonkers, obviously somebody has pulled a fast one at sone point and spoiled it for everyone else. Some common sense could surely be applied as he has missed four meetings!

Mr Blobby
“At Oxford on Wednesday 13th May despite Cooper being involved in 2 incidents on track, he continued to ride and was not withdrawn from the meeting or received any medical documentation from the Oxford medical team.” “So having not received any medical documentation from Oxford on the Wednesday” These two parts do come across as If he’s putting some form of blame on them, but it’s not on Oxford medical team to withdraw him if he’s chosen to continue to ride. It’s also on him if he’s not went and got a document signed by the doctor at the end of the night to say he had received an injury during the meeting. So really it’s his own fault, even though the rule is a bit daft in situations like this.

Surely his club should also have taken an interest to make sure the right paperwork was in place, given Cooper is only just 16 and in his first season in the league I am always amazed that clubs, and riders, are not fully conversant with the regulations. Mind you, it's not just speedway. I was at a talk this week where an international sport referee said that players in that sport regularly didn't know the laws
Bitza
I see Cairns Rushen and Harrison are competing in the SON2 event in Prague tonight. Will be interesting to see how they go. Great to hear that Cooper is race fit again. Poole having their two youngest riders representing GB confirms what we all knew, they are the cream of the crop. Rushen didn't get a ride, but Will Cairns was on fire, top scoring first Team GB, and would have scored more if he hadn't shut off as he approached the finish line in his first race!! Lesson learned! Bitza
Well I'm thinking that was a bit of a result especially considering their lack of experience, pity Cooper only got the one ride. Back to Pirate matters, it'll be great having Rushen back on Wednesday as I'm guessing it will be r/r for Bowes.
SteveLyric2
Cooper's cma is now 6.71 according to bspl stats, suggests he will probably ride at 4. While r/r for Fraser continues, his rides can only now be taken by Kyle, Will and Cooper. Meanwhile Cairns needs 3 more qualifying meetings to get his new average, so could also possibly be in the 1 to 5 for July!

Cairns is on a rolling average already, had one last year, got a new average in May & June. July average is very likely to put him into the top 5. If I were him I'd be aching for the chance to show the Fords what a mistake they made.
