Assuming the Poole management would already have a plan for Zach tomorrow, is it R/R or is there a guest to come in?

R/R

Hi all, looking for a bit of advice. I’m coming down for Poole v Scunthorpe next week and was planning to park at the stadium. What time do you usually need to arrive to get a space? And if it’s full, what’s the best alternative - town centre parking and walk over?

Assuming it’s back to 7:30 start. 6pm I’m sure you’d get a space, and worst case scenario you’d be directed into the school car park, I usually get there closer to 7 and have never not been able to park in the main car park or school.

Also there are plenty of residential side roads off Wimborne Road to park down.

Thank you both, thats great info and really reassuring, not been to Poole for well over a decade and will have my little one with me so it's good to know we should be able to park at or near the stadium. Really looking forward to it and hopefully we'll see a Pirates win :)

They changed their minds then?

"On Easter Saturday, the Pirates will head to the Coliseum without skipper Zach Cook, due to a Polish commitment. The Pirates will operate rider replacement."

I would imagine a decent guest became available because of postponement elsewhere. Batch my guess or JE

I usually get there around 5.45 ( gates open 6.30) and there are usually plenty of spaces. The car park is used during the day for public parking including hospital day workers. If an overflow is needed the school next door is made available. The stadium charge £3.50 cash on entry on speedway nights. Enjoy.

Zach wasnt in the original team plans so its a prior engagement. Jason Edwards guests.

Would rather have used r/r. Is Edwards a track specialist?

He is an ok guest, maybe they have gone with r/r because Lawson had a crash and we need a bit of back up. I doubt it is a favourite track of Edwards though and will likely struggle if he doesnt gate.

He scored 6 from 4 rides there last year riding at 3. But the Plymouth team on that day was horrendous. Littered with guests.
He’s done a good job guessing for us in the past, Sedgman would’ve been my choice with his meeting PP.
I don’t think 4 points will be enough but hoping for a surprise

This is a 3 team league so losing the aggregate point isnt the end of the world at this stage.

Am sure the team was sorted before the fixtures were sorted either way a contract will go from march 15 to october 31.

Why hasn't it, they knew he was missing and planned to have r/r or a guest.

So u plan and say i dont have a full team that day because i have a selfish rider who has no commitment to the team and country that gave him his chance in the sport.

In Zachs defence, he wasn’t going to do championship and only did it after a bit of extra persuading after the Anders situation. Maybe the promise that they’d be much more lenient in allowing him to miss meetings, as the championship this season, is rightfully the bottom of his priorities

Is it so difficult to understand? He signed his Polish contract well before he knew he was riding Championship with Poole.....And he only signed for Poole when there were all the doubts about whether the Premiership would run. Poole are happy to have him back albeit missing some fixtures, after not being able to agree terms with Rowe.

Granted it has only been two meetings but Kyle looks to be settling in nicely. He certainly appears to be well motivated and committed, even though he's only signed for 28 days. I'm begining to think he might prove to be a better option to Gilkes. Anyone know if that's a possibility, re the contract situation with Dan etc?
