I don’t think it was about being punished for improving. More like trying to price himself out of a team place. I like how everyone thinks it’s the promotions fault.

Also would Drew Kemp be an option for Workington? Looks like not in Berwick plans

Another one of these fake news spreaders, stop insinuating stuff and trying to make out that somehow it’s his fault.

If like lots of other clubs and workington have got a budget to work to then he might have been asking for to much money

Vinnie and he can kick on, he’s never short on effort.

Rode the tail end of the season with a broken hand, fully fit now.

‘ Alienating ‘ . rubbish its team building . simples .

we werent good last year , individually he was good but its about a team and his avrg obviously doesnt suit or  fit the shake up

By all means pick on the word 'alienating' and rubbish it... but I for one was contemplating sponsoring a rider this year, and Hooky woukd have been my No.1 rider choice, (a) because he was good last year, and (b) to help 'bridge the gap' between reserve and main body.

I'm more than willing to give the management the benefit of the doubt, but given Hooky has been 'counted out', this suggests the 1-7 is known... In which case, get on and announce it, rather than leaving question marks over decisions made, not made, or being made...

The reason a team announcement is dragged out, is it usually gives publicity to the club over a few weeks. This season the make up of the league is not officially known, but seems the promotion know which direction the league is going , I was told all 7 riders are signed, BUT due to the official league set up / number of fixtures involved not known until rubber stamped at the AGM the full team may not be announced until after the AGM.

..and now they have nothing to promote until the AGM approves the number of fixtures and season tickets/prices can be announced!!

Drip-feeding signing announcements is by far the best way, as Plymouth obviously agree.

Plenty of winter activities planned, how teams announce there lineup is  down to them.

Personally I don’t think there is a wrong or right way it’s solely down to what way suits them.

The 'best way' depends on the club and it's supporters. Drip feeding can have a negative effect if everyone knows the riders identities anyway.

The decision to not include Jacob Hook has created waves thats for sure. I would like to see some more announcements coming soon so that people can get to see what the plans and vision are. Im sure there s a good reason for the decision whoever's it was.

You know what that means you'll be able to book a 3 week holiday and not miss any home meetings 😉

Drip feeding works in place where each announcement gets a back page story in the local press. It doesn't work in cities where the news is dominated by football. Drip feeding announcements of reserves and second strings would get at most a single sentence in the news in Glasgow. Even Bomber would be no more than a paragraph.

Different teams do it differently based on local knowledge on what works for them publicity wise

Comets have posted on Facebook that season tickets details coming soon. So with this and Plymouth announcing season ticket details, must mean the league set up is decided just to be officially released by them in charge higher up
