Perhaps he can do a few more game shows and then keep Sheffield and Ipswich running in 2026 rather than interfere in track prep which does not seem to be his forte. The sport is in a mess and the rationale fan is losing the will to live. While the Danes and the Swedes are ploughing ahead the UK has lost its way. Promoters and BSPL get a grip for Christ sake. You are a shower of ….… and collectively you have brought the sport to its knees.Shame on you.

cowboy cookie returns?
If Ipswich does run in 2026 god knows what the team will be. Looks very much like 1 league at the moment. We all ready know we’ll have no Emil. Doyle I don’t think will be in a 1 league set up. Thompson & King already signed elsewhere. I guess maybe Brennan, Rew & Ellis as a top 3. If by some miracle the premiership carries on & Ipswich run are we looking at Doyle,Brennan,Rew,Ellis,King,Jenkins & Edward’s?

If Ipswich do compete in One Big League then we'll just take King back off Plymouth.....Possibly Nicholls as well.

If the Witches did end up in 1 big league I'd expect you can forget Brennan Rew and Ellis too. All likely to be Poland bound I'd think

OldHawk
Can anyone tell me what Morris has done for British speedway? Am I being too harsh, well sorry but I cant think of anything. For example it doesn't appear he has even tried to stand up to the poles.

Oh come on! where would the sport be without the coloured start mats he introduced at the entrance to the pits!

Ah yes but he has ensured that for each tv race riders enter from the pits over their red/blue/white/yellow positions.

He could not stand up to the UK promoters added to which you would need to get every rider in the UK who also rides in Poland to side with him and that is not going to happen. U K promoters have capitulated and continue to allow the Poles to drive the sport forward so what has he and the BSPL added? The jury must be out on both. One thing for sure top riders are signing for Danish clubs and may have given up hope of the sport sorting itself out at the top level. Let’s wait and see.

Just to be clear Mr Morris was appointed as CEO of the Premiership clubs - NOT the Championship!!  TFFT!!!

If there is no future for him in British Speedway he’s still got the GP gig (race coordinator?) He always looks busy. Can’t be easy running around the pits telling riders that they need to go to the track for the next race. Someone will no doubt tell me that his role is far more involved than that (assistance with track prep?) but from what I see, the average speedway enthusiast could do his ‘gofer’ job.
