He’s an eccentric no doubt about that, but he’s obviously a successful businessman. As has been said, I wouldn’t pay much attention to what happened at Birmingham. You’re comparing apples with oranges to what he’d walk in to here at Ipswich.

Anyway, he may or may not be one of the two parties. We’ve just got to continue playing the waiting game unfortunately.

He's certainly not afraid to chuck money into the sport I just wonder if he may be put off by the thought of a speedway club that is profitable.

Who are Ipswich's 2nd biggest sponsor?

I was told last weekend that there were 2 interested parties.   One was a sponsor.  I immediately jumped to Guy Nicholls, but was told definitely not him.  So I was trying to think of Ipswich's 2nd biggest sponsor.   But then my source didn't say an Ipswich sponsor, just a sponsor.  So Alex Brady did come to my mind too.

The other bidder, I'm led to believe has promoting experience but isn't Nigel Tolley.  It sounded like they are only interested if there are no other bidders, just to keep the club going.

Anyone know the real reason Brady walked out on Lynn? The “official” line I seem to remember was that he needed to spend more time with family and his other business, but there was all sorts of rumours that all wasn’t well between him and others behind the scenes.

Brady seemed to be the ambitious one at Lynn, personally doing the Laguta deal himself by all accounts.

And almost taking the club to the brink of financial collapse in the process

Buster did complain after he left that the team was left “over budget” but I’ve no idea what financial input Brady had whilst he was there. Perhaps it was affordable to HIM, but after he left, not affordable to others?

Wasn't there also rumours at the time that he'd only been signed to ride at home... followed by a string of non appearances away from home due to dodgy burgers or something 😂
