For me Louis will keep it on and run it. Australia would have been a good break to gather his thoughts. He will do the right thing and give the Ipswich fans another successful season

At the start of this phase when Chris announced 'the sale' I thought that was actually the end game after a bit of brinkmanship

Now I'm not thinking that at all - although in many ways it would seem like the best option (certainly for the club, the fans and probably the sport) I no longer think Chris sees it as the best option for him, even at the risk of not running at all

I believe Ipswich will run one way or another - only time will tell who by

That’s the problem when you issue these timeframes. To be fair to him, he did say he was “hopeful” that a sale would be announced, not WOULD be announced. But when you issue these timeframes and that then elapses with no announcement, that then just increases the worry.

He's going to have to update Ipswich folk now or SHOULD update the fans I should say. Whether that be simply talks still ongoing but taking longer than expected, or the deal is dead like the discussions with the previous two interested parties.

There’s only five days until the re-arranged AGM, so we’re getting very close to the end game in any case.

This post from you flagrag is looking stranger by the day. How on earth could you claim to know the Ipswich team in early December when there clearly wasn’t a sale imminent, and Louis was off?

I was listening to a non league football owner/chairman on talksport the other morning and the tale he was telling regarding the attempt at selling his own football club was very similar to the tale of the sale of Speedway clubs, just lots of time wasters coming forward and people doing it for their own hubris and failing to come up with the money when the time came to actually buy the club.

Definitely not attending as a director of BSPL.
Fair to assume he could as a shareholder being the promoter of Ipswich.
Not sure if that remains the case if he doesn't declare an intention to run in 2026 and license put on ice?

He could always attend via a video link. If the trip had been some while in the planning I doubt he would have known at the time of booking flights etc. that the AGM was going to be put back. A family trip to Australia is unlikely to be a last minute booking. Still I am sure those in charge have all areas covered and know exactly what they are doing but have just got to try and put into words that they are up sh.te creek without the proverbial paddle. Press release late on the 6th should be eagerly awaited by those who believe in miracles. For the rest of us another borefest of excuses, plans and rule changes.
