What's not to want Watched him as a junior at Eastbourne, had that broken leg which had a lot of complications, he lost his Mum from an early age, I Sponsored him in his early days and went through the Eastbourne times when he didn't get paid, like all riders, by Ian Jordan. You could tell as a junior, he was a talent.

spin king
Never been a particular fan of Tom Brennan. But if had the chance to sign him, I would not say no. I remember him doing a Guest booking at Owlerton and he did well. In saying all that I think he will be at Ipswich next season.
Cue Ball
Just not a fan, personally think he is on the edge of being dirty - a less talented Pedersen. Sure he would do a decent job for us, but wouldn’t be on my list of candidates. 1 1
Bagpuss
Interesting take, I can honestly say that Tom Brennan has never reminded me of NP in the slightest. I like Brennan, I think he can get better.
Cue Ball
You may well be right. Just one of those riders that I’ve never taken to

Like I said, just a thought.... Wot, no other 'track anoraks' ? Had it in mind the capacity could be circa 12,000, certainly waaay back in 1979 when Hull won the British League Div 1 4's (one seriously sweet day) there were 8 teams racing 2 semi finals, top 2 from each into the final. 3 full meetings witnessed by large crowd, those were he days.... Daniel Smith
Tom Brennan has to be one of the oddest dislikes in Speedway. Doesn't seem to have that horrid, big headed type arrogance the 2 Holder's carry around & the Sheffield lot loved them. Very odd

I never thought I’d see the word Brennan and “dirty” in the same sentence either. If anything I’d say he’s the polar opposite! Far too nice and needs more aggression on track. All very strange and it’s not one or two posters either, seems to be all of them that post on here! Sheffield for ya I suppose 😛 6

Very odd Maybe because he came through the Arlington 'school ', most oposing fans disliked Eastbourne in the day so perhaps maybe the usual speedway fan long memories and association? Being an Eastie fan saw him from a tiny lad, tough but always a pleasant lad. Edited 19 hours ago by gazzac

spin king
I think some of the Sheffield fans who think that Brennan is a dirty rider are thinking back to his Guest appearance for Sheffield 2024. Sheffield v Kings Lynn Heat 10 Brennan dived under Kvech and kept taking Kvech out to the fence, who had to get off the throttle to avoid crashing out. It was a naughty move that some may construe as dirty riding some say it was hard riding. Interesting Brennan finished 2nd in the race and finished the night on a 4 ride paid maximum. Of course Charles Wright possibly has a different view but Brennan comes across really well and gives his all, to my mind nothing to even compare with Perdersen (who fo course was going to be a Tiger in 2020!) Preston Comet
How can you dislike Tom Brennan. Totally baffling
spin king junior
I do sort of understand why some wouldn't be keen on Brennan - he hasn't exactly got a stellar record round owlerton. Other than that, I can't see why anyone wouldn't want to sign him. A rider that's improved year on year, a real professional and speaks well for himself and in what could be a weakened league I think could be a real asset as hes proved he can defintely hold his own at heatleader- given the opportunity I'd love to see him have a season at Sheffield, however I fully suspect he'll be back at Ipswich.
