Neila
12 out of 16 riders announced but not a very inspiring line up imo, thought Glasgow promotion may have persuaded some top stars to appear

Triple.H.
The line up doesn't matter The cause does. It's an early season meeting where riders are blowing off the cobwebs and in my opinion since it was brought in one of the most important British meetings of the year.

Agree the money raised for the cause is the goal, but I'm reluctant to travel from Cumbria to watch this line up, can see most at worky during the season, gonna buy the stream and do my usual donations through the season

Of course the lineup matters, if you expect people to turn up and support it. The early ones had pretty stellar lineups, then it seemed to tail off to become an NDL level meeting before picking up again in recent years... seems to be on the decline again.

Given the cause you'd think all riders would be keen to ride as it supports them! Edited Wednesday at 09:44 AM by SPEEDY69

Some riders get well over half a million a year riding Speedway... Therefore. So early in the season, on potentially weather impacted tracks, and riding against some vastly inferior riders on those type of tracks, I would suggest they probably err on the side of caution... And Poland are already doing "sparring matches"/team boot camps, so a clash of calender could also be an impact...

crescent girl
Late changes to line-up. Dan Gilkes will be replaced by Jason Edwards, and Nick Morris' place will be taken by Berwick team-mate Reid Battye, making his UK debut after an impressive showing at Berwick's P&P last night
Neila
Always the same riders commit to a meeting with a well deserved cause, but pull out last minute, then people wonder why fans won't travel to support said meetings especially as it's not a good forecast

Nothing to suggest any issues with going ahead. Intermittent rain but nothing intense. I think we’ll be fine. No rain after about 3pm.
