szkocjasid
Looking at the scores, I felt every rider, except Holder & Cairns could be happy with their scores. Not counting Blodorn who got injured, so both teams can be positive for the season ahrad.

PK was better than I expected but Jack was very poor, I would expect a much improved performance from him at Owlerton and a fairly easy passage through to the next round of the k o cup for Sheffield. ouch
Decent enough opener with the interest of The Aces taking to the track collectively for the first time this season diverting attention from the lack of racing early on. This winter & recent rain produced a very grippy circuit which we all know is a no no. Probably 4-5 races with any passing and all towards the end so I can see why fans might think it a poor night, the hold ups for Norick didn’t help but I never crumble when an injured rider is being see to and nor should anyone else imo. More positives than negatives from The Aces against the champions elect. Top two and middle order were fine. Norick would have scored well and Tate top scored so that settles the nerves for the coming season. Poor Will had a night to forget but hopefully that’s behind him now and no more ef’s. The Aces were gating better overall than usual and if they manage to get of the start away from home we’ll be set fair for a productive season.

After that quip I remember watching Sam v Han's Neilson in a world cup round at Coventry and Han's was probably at that period where he was nigh on invincible in the sport. It came down to which ever one of them finished ahead of the other that Country took the prize Sam gated and Hans looked quicker behind him but sheer skill and racing brain kept the great Dane behind for all four laps, IT was an absolute master class in track craft. Norick would have scored well!! Will Cairns had a bad night with mechanical gremlins, hope he gets that sorted for the more important Poole meetings! nw42
Watched the stream and thought there were already improvements on the PCMT, camerawork mostly OK, commentary, much improved, definitely heading in the right direction. As for the match, not the most entertaining but considering the rain prior it was good to see them getting the meeting on, never in doubt as they say. Tate was the standout on the night, hope that boosted his confidence and he can keep it going. Hope Norick is ok, looked so lean and fit, has obviously worked hard all winter.
