King's Lynn having to use 2 Tac Sub Rides over 2 Meetings against a Team that doesn't have an out an out No.1.

Going to be a long season for the Stars.

Should never be allowed for home teams! Huge bugbear of mine that.

Great result, Every Rider getting at least a paid win this time.

Take a bow Tom Brennan, From Rising Star to No.1 who beat GP Rider Max Fricke 2-1 in a Head-to-Head battle around the AFA is some achievement.

Never rated King's Lynn before a wheel was turned and if Jan Kvech continues his downward spiral at King's Lynn then the Stars may even finish behind Northampton once the League gets underway because the Stars tail end is simply out of it's depth at this level.

Pressure on young Cooper Rushen is ridiculous and it could hinder his progress and knock his confidence imo.

I have just left AFA ian and us witches put in a solid all round display so well pleased. From a point of view of young and upcoming riders. We could potentially ruin them by asking them to step up so early, which is why I still believe in one league only.

Exactly we are potentially damaging our young and upcoming prospects.

Young Cooper was trying so hard to pass Scott on the outside it looked like he almost slamed into the fence.

100% agree.

Cooper being a No.6 at PREM level doesn't benefit him as a Rider at all imo when everyone else has started their PREM experience as a No.7 when being part of the Rising Star Scheme, Riders like Brennan, Flint, Rowe, D. Thompson etc.

Cooper Rushen has been thrown to the Wolves imo.

You don’t win things by going with two rising stars at reserve, you just don’t. Lynn have got their strategy all wrong here, again.

No issue with signing Fricke, although saddled with such a high average in a league that reduced it total team building average obviously comes with issues in building the rest of the team, but they needed to be far smarter.

They should have left out one of Harris, Cook or Kvech and gone for a couple of 4-5 pointers giving them a bit more scoring power and experience in the senior reserve position.

They won’t win a bean with this team.

I’ll just repost this from page one of this thread. They started with Fricke and then got it all wrong. Only two trophies available and they’re already out of one of them. They’re going to have to change one of the middle men and either Rushen, or move Rushen to rising star and remove Scott and find a couple of 4-5 pointers. Do nothing and they won’t even make the play offs.

Pleased to see Scotty contributing. Nobody is expecting double figures from him, but if he can contribute 5/6/7 in the middle order then job done.

Think there’s more to come from this team. PHB will surely settle and improve as the meetings go on and once he does, we look very solid if unspectacular.

My prediction was awful 🤣 On another night could've been a different result, some seem to be pressing panic buttons/writing off Lynn's season already after two meetings! They will have better results.

Looks like Tom is starting to show his potential ,he was putting himself about in Poland at the week-end too.Hope he can stay injury free it’s along season.

Agreed, imagine if you'd have said 30 years ago that at 48 this young whippersnapper will still be gunning down the Stars in the next century you'd have been carted away by men in white coats!
