Oxford V Poole 15/4/26 BSN 1st leg

Recommended Posts

So hopefully we will open the Oxford season tomorrow night. Surprised no Oxford fan could start a thread but this place is nothing like it used to be. Pretty dead nowadays.

Both teams I guess at full strength. Still loath to pay for a ticket online just incase we get a notification at 4pm tomorrow that the meeting is not going ahead due to a leasing problem. Fingers crossed all is now sorted.

Should be a close, entertaining fixture if all goes smoothly.

Thoughts?

Yes hopefully a decent meeting, should be close. Already bought my ticket so I hope it goes ahead weather permitting.

It’s only forecast as light, 1mm in the afternoon, over before 7. It was also forecast today and didn’t happen at all, dry all day, I’m a mile from the track, we’ve had a lot more rain than that and gone ahead. Plus presumably they’ve had ample time to work on the track. Should be a good meeting.

So do Oxford still have all the  equipment to 'work on the track'? There were reports that equipment had been removed.....

Sorry, Steve, most of the Oxford fans aren't old dinosaurs and on an almost obsolete old school forum. And those dinosaurs still on here realise all the Oxford fans are on social media and focus our attention there.

Should be an absolute cracker of a meeting tonight

Not sure the reason for swapping riding positions of Cook & Kerr?

Maybe the only reason was Kerr did well at Plymouth and has started the season off pretty well and something they will try out away from home as I see Cook reverting back to 5 at home.

Not aware of that. The Poole team that was submitted for the programme was Kerr at 3 and Cook at 5, which is also the team on the BSPA website and Poole's social media this morning.

PS Apologies for the error regarding Poole's sponsor in the programme - of course, it's Wessex Marine and will be corrected when Pirates are next in town. My error - it's been that sort of week but now looking forward to seeing speedway back at Oxford!

Lewis Kerr rides at #3. Zach Cook at #5.       What's your point, caller?

The original Poole preview text had Cook at 3 and Kerr at 5, but it was changed/updated later.
