The decision wouldn't have affected a drubbing for the comets , but the officials have to abide by the rules, the sport 🤔 is becoming more of a joke every weekend

He then asked if there if a replay was available (yes he should have asked before announcing but hindsight is a wonderful thing) & was told there was so he went along to the commentary box - at NO point was Greg in contact with the referee or the refs box. While the referee was away the 3rd bend footage was sent via messenger to the box, Greg then came into the box to ask what was happening & was told the referee was viewing the BanditsTV footage, at which point the referee returned to the box. He was about to stick with his initial decision as the BanditsTV footage was inconclusive however when he was shown the clip from the 3rd bend clearly showing Cookie made contact with Reid he then changed his decision. At no point was Greg involved in influencing the referee’s decision, the change was made purely on him seeing the 3rd bend footage. Hope this helps Clears Greg’s involvement but sets dangerous precedent if the ref can accept phone messenger messages regarding track incidents .very strange.IMO

Could have been a nasty one for Reid and if it shows he wasn’t at fault the correct decision is made . In football the decision on field is made and then if looked at from different angles it can be looked at and reversed . It’s 2026 no the 80s 1
Marksman
I’m sure the SCB/track regulations prohibit filming without prior accreditation from the BSPL or Promoter. Some tracks allow filming for personal use only. To then use this type of footage probably filmed at 60fps on a mobile, is an absolute head loss by Dishington.
Woke23
Cookie stuck to his racing line, enters the bend first, and battye tries to round him, laying his bike down in the process. Whole spot is a rubbish show. Greg is as unprofessional as they come and shouldn't be any where near a microphone the clown. But hey, s**t happens, on to the next one.

I can’t tell. “Michael Oliver isn’t sure it’s a penalty at Old Trafford, VAR video angle is inconclusive after reviewing the screen and no penalty given.” Hang on, Dave from the 2nd row of the Stretford end has a good angle on his iPhone, he’s going to send it to the referee on WhatsApp.” Announcement pending.. “After video review on Dave’s iPhone a Penalty is awarded for a foul on Manchester United’s number 9”. 3 1

Same difference.
