The only reason a meeting should ever be delayed is if there has been a bad accident close by and clearly only a small percentage of the normal/expected crowd has been able to arrive, and even the parade should start on time or be canned so that once racing can start, it’s starts promptly. Agreed this or medical cover not being in place.

I am never keen to rely on the last train which means I need to be back at the station for 22:10 and the local cabs/taxi/Uber struggle to find the speedway car park. 1 minute ago, marko said: Yes, it’s a professional sport charging professional prices but acting amateurish. We're prone to "sun delays" at Leicester though unfortunately 😎
Mr Blobby
44 minutes ago, LisaColette said: That is all very well but the ref didn't even exclude him, so obviously he didn't think he did anything wrong. He is only 16 he is going to make mistakes, as long as he learns from them. Also maybe not have patchy grip when the younger kids are out. Even Ben Cook and Chris Harris were struggling with it a race later. That’s cause the ref is clearly and idiot and doesn’t know what he’s doing. 16 or not he would know you shouldn’t be pulling lefts like that down a straight, he even looks twice before doing it.

You may be better off walking down to the Police Station, if you are able, it's only 1 minute away and everybody in Leicester should know where that is.

Bagpuss
Cooper quite clearly got that move badly wrong and was incredibly lucky to not be disqualified, as were the other two lads to not break bones. But let's not go OTT, he is young and still learning and I'm sure somebody will have had a word, and he himself will have realised his error. I actually think watching it from behind that he veered further left than he intended, looking over his shoulder doesn’t mean he was trying to nail anybody. It was an error of judgement. Let's not use this as a stick to beat one of our young prospects too hard. Out of interest what are the rules regarding guests for Rising Stars?

Ref guests for rising stars believe you have to pick an unattached one from the RS list. Trees2026
Best wishes to the two fallers. I was surprised they let Harrison up to walk away after that. I just wanted to say how disappointed I was with the Northampton presentation, nothing new or different just same old. This is an opportunity to take all the good stuff from all other clubs and make it something special, oh well.

I thought it was quite comical the way in which Craig Saul was trying to work the crowd up before the meeting, there was zero energy, he's good in the box and conducting interviews, a hype man he is not! 😂 As somebody else mentioned, no victory parade, not even the riders doing a circuit on their bikes, very poor 👎

I’m not sure on the actual ruling whether they have to be declared or can be used as guests but I do know they can only use riders not in another 1-7

Lidsey and Batch also dreadful, it's the lack of effort I'd find appalling if I were a Foxes supporter.

The thing is with Klindt, he could just as easily score you an 18 point maximum (Poole the night before), Batch is much less likely to do that, maybe Klindt at number 2 and replace Batch? No disagreement from me but as ever who do you get in that will be any better given the general lack of interest from any semi decent rider upwards avoiding the UK. The Cheese
First time I've seen Rushen and clearly an impressive talent but it's unbelievable he wasn't excluded from that incident. Obviously he wouldn't have been looking to cause a crash like that but it was a dangerous move. Hopefully Harrison and Scott have come away from that relatively well. On Northampton, early days but you would like them to be able to strengthen up somehow. Whilst the track is settling down it's perhaps understandable the racing won't be at its most entertaining so for any newbies you really need to have them winning at home. Without either it makes their task much more difficult. Edited 3 hours ago by The Cheese
IainB
A lot of people saying "once the track settles down"... with stock cars being run on it every week (are they running every week?) will it ever "settle down"?
