How convenient a poor scoring rider is out, with a non speedway injury?? keeping his average high, for a future change, and far better riders take his place, thus potentially scoring more points 😲. That's not cheating is it 😃

Poole mention on a FB post that RR in place due to an eye injury. Seen nothing mentioned elsewhere.

I also thought he was due to ride in his first POL match for his new team but that didnt happen although maybe more to do with not enough time for logistics and getting equip over in time.

Maybe more to do with they had better riders available.

I have openly stated I am not a Bowes Fan.

However would be wrong for me to start any conspiracy theories.

Poole said on their site yesterday injury occured which working on his bikes in the workshop.

Not been a great 5 months of 2026. Had 2 crash injuries before UK started and now this.

Surely if they were going to, they would have re-signed Gilkes and replaced Bowes with Newman?

No offence to Gilkes, but with the points available we can get a better replacement for Bowes than Gilkes.
Swapping Bowes for Gilkes would be a waste of team building points

So both Riss and Bowes are missing with non-speedway related ailments.

Not sure how injuring your eye while working on your speedway bikes is not a speedway-related injury!!

As for Oxford being allowed a heat leader guest for a non-speedway related illness?!

I though you kept up with all the Polish league stuff?  Fraser travelled over to Krakow with Richard Lawson for track practice on Saturday and a chance of making the team on Sunday. Michael West had better race times on Saturday so secured the final team spot (scoring 2x 3rd places) Krakow drew 45-45 so maybe could have won if Fraser had been included?! We shall never know...........
