INJURY UPDATE
Nicolai has been to see a specialist today who concluded a very severe meniscus tear on his knee, which needs further treatment when possible. Tomorrow he will have more treatment on it, to try and reduce the swelling as well as the pain and discomfort.
“It’s very annoying and frustrating because it’s not what I need, but as you could see last night I wasn’t feeling great and had difficulties walking. It’s very important to get further knowledge about the injury and what I can do to help myself short and long term.”
This means he will not be riding for Redcar Bears tonight against Scunthorpe, where Danni King will be guesting.
We wish the Bears all the best tonight and will be watching the meeting Live on British Speedway Network.

Will he be OK to ride in Poland at the weekend?

Parr needs to go. Too matey with the riders. This team need a disiplinarian and motivator to take charge.

He sounded like a beaten man before 15!

Did Gilkes come back from injury too soon?

Was a meeting with some pretty good racing, but this is a pretty poor Redcar team. Very reliant on no one really having an off day. Thought Mulford was excellent though.

Fair play to Scunny. Ablitt and Harrison probably won them the meeting, but Ingram pulled that ride out of nowhere in Heat 14. Fair play.

Seems likr Redcar have the same Allen as we had...scores loads to get ht15 buts dosent produce in the big ones

I wouldn’t really say that. Allen has been exceptional for redcar this season, produced the “big ones” against Poole recently in heat 15 against two of the best riders in the league.
just had a bit of a off night tonight.

Poole had already won. Not like a last heat decider. Redcar just dont have anyone good enough for no5 position. Just 2 no3's really.

The bent decision to limit each team to only one rider over 8 pts impacted Redcar the most this season.

As a result Redcar have a weak septet this season and will do well to avoid the wooden spoon.

Entertaining meeting that. Take a bow Nathan Ablitt. Great effort tonight. Young Ingram surprised everyone in heat 14. While he can do it as home, that was the first time I have seen him do anything away from Scunny. Pickering baring an mechanical issues was always going to bring the points home in heat 15.

Edwards beat Pickering in one heat, then can’t get past Ingram in heat 14.

Rotten luck for Dan Gilkes. Get well soon.

I'm sure Redcar would've preferred to keep King, but that would've meant a weaker reserve pairing, which has been their strength this season.

Seems an inconsistent team, so home defeats are possible, but away wins also possible.

2nd home defeat means play-offs almost gone already, but still have the KOC & BSN to compete for.

I actually thought Redcar were one of the weaker teams pre-season (but stronger than Scunthorpe) but their early season form, made me change my mind & rate them higher.

I don't think so. He has scored well for Scunthorpe prior to this evening.

Just in the wrong place - on the outside, first bend bunching, and would have been in the re run if not injured. He appeared to slide into the fence feet first, damaging his right leg.

Was it his right knee injury he was coming back from?
