And something that gets my back up is paying full price for a programme which is 2 weeks old with an insert. I realise that costs are involved but they should just charge enough to cover them.

Those were the days when on paper Lynn looked unbeatable Bo Peterson went from supreme around Lynn to terrible and dear old John Davis only knew the outside line and always left a gap on the inside you could have stuck the titanic through.

King started like the heir to Penhall but a couple of bad bangs then held him back.

I have always thought they should save a rain off programme for when it’s re arranged with an insert, at least it’s relevant to the team they are actually riding against

But some people like to read what was in the postponed programme and at least it's still relevant a couple of weeks later rather than three months later when that one gets re-staged.  It was also more than just an insert with race details, there was some commentary/narrative.  Maybe £2.50 would've been better.

Most programme's contain little of relevance to the visitors other than team profile so an insert with team profile of new visitors on the back makes sense.

I was told a few years ago that the advertising in the programme effectively covered the production costs, so the sales were profit.

There wasn't much racing to get excited about, but I must say that I thought Fricke's team ride with Jenkins was first class - Fricke filled every gap, while Jenkins rode solidly outside - a real throwback to the days of Olle Nygren and Tiger Louis.

I agree, even though we won I thought it was the best race of the night, excellent team riding from both of them.
