But why haven’t the promoters of every club not been posing every day running up to the event asking fans to like and share with a CHANCE to go into a draw for free tickets. Lasts years final should have been reposted by all clubs and ask the fans to share and repost again. Costs nothing but another failed opportunity to really push the biggest chance to promote the biggest advert on terrestrial tv. these promoters are not fit for purpose. Couldn’t organise a car boot sale. 100% agree, I can never get my head around clubs ignoring the obvious and not doing things to promote/improve the sport where the costs involved to them is either nothing or practically nothing. It does my head in. Clubs will pay out a couple of hundred thousand to riders, who hardly anyone locally will know the name of... Yet, don't seem to pay anyone to work full time, or even part time, on their media output, which, if done daily, and constantly, could actually get the club and it's riders noticed... People eating in food establishments, or filming their holidays, can get 100's of thousands of subscribers on YouTube alone.. Because they do it constantly, and getting regular content out is what they know keeps the "eyeballs" on them.. Couldn’t organise a car boot sale. Out of around 20 odd Aces posts this week only three towards the end have mentioned the British Final. Speedway fans will predict this, but, hopefully, the wider non Speedway followers watching won't know who he is... And, everyone loves a winner, so him winning, and showing his undoubted higher level, can still be a positive.. And, plenty of meetings at the NSS, with a majority of similar level riders, have been fantastic down the years.... Let's hope for the same this evening... martinmauger Posted 16 hours ago Report Share Posted 16 hours ago I've told everyone I know (& could think of) including posting on a music-related website that has a sports section, also posted in main discussion section, obv I hope it's a good meeting, plenty of passing & all that. If Speedway Futures were instrumental in having the meeting broadcast on ITV4, and I'm not doubting for a second they were, I think we'd all have apreciated a wee bit more openness. i.e. 'This is what Speedway Futures has achieved & is the kind of thing they are actively looking at with hopefully more to come, watch this space' then I think we'd feel happpier as in 'great they ARE making a difference'. But good stuff a defo positive, fingers crossed we witness race action of the quality shown in last year's British Final & this year's British GP....
