Weak in heat 13/15. Strong in every other. I do wonder if Poole would pick Jenkins over Newman? Aswell with Rowe over Cairns. I personally prefer a big 1 and 5 like Poole have had ever since dropping down the league. But with the 1 over 8 rule (if not changed) that does only allow King/Harris and a couple others that would class as a top number

On Rushen, I'm not so keen if he's going to be doing as much racing as this year, because I think Poole becomes he's lowest priority. Until the finals he riding at 4 seemed pretty mediocre on the whole, to me.
SteveLyric2
It would be good to have some clarification of how the new Polish rider restrictions might affect riders in the Championship?! If I understand it correctly the new rules only refer to the 'top' leagues in each of the participating countries! So will doubling down still be a thing? Will Uk speedway (Prem and Champ leagues) count as just 'one league' as far as the new rules are concerned, or will it just affect the Prem? Will the Championship carry on as now with priority still given to the Euro leagues when fixtures clash on Tues, Weds, Fri/Sat/Sun?

Tbf his first season of being this busy, so would be interesting to hear if he thinks it is too much racing or if he feels the amount is ok. As far as I understand the rules the Champ will be treated like the German, French or Czech leagues. There's no limit for riders in these leagues, but they don't have fixture priority over Sweden (Tues), Prem (Mon, Thu), Denmark (Wed) or Poland (Fri-Sun). But I agree clarification from the BSPL would be good especially now the news has been "leaked"

On the subject of Jenkins vs Newman I’d have Jenkins much better all round scorer, from memory Newman hasn’t done much away from home and feel Jenkins would be better in away matches.

Diamonds85
1 Richard Lawson © 8.16 2 Jordan Jenkins 5.05 3 Mitchell McDiarmid 5.53 4 William Cairns 6.45 5 Luke Harrison 5.71 6 Slater Lightcap 4.00 7 Cooper Rushen 5.01 The ultimate strength in depth team? 😁 Number 5 is a little weak, although if one of the youngsters breaks out then maybe not, but them reserves would clean up at every track and there's still a strong number 1. He will be fine long term though big future ahead if he's sensible, there's a lot of very good under 21 riders coming through from many nations currently, the danes especially looking promising with current crop of youngsters. The Danes are going to be unreal in 5-10 years, probably the nation who'll be pushing Poland and Australia the most. They're the big 3 in years to come imo.
