I wouldn't, in my opinion only Musielak and Brennan is a match up that could go either way, the rest are not equal. Massive difference at reserve with Tate head and shoulders above the Ipswich reserves.

Of course anything can happen on the night and hopefully Ipswich can pull off a win to keep their fans happy.

Belle Vue may have finished 14 points ahead of the Witches in the league table, but that counts for nothing in the play-offs.  No one has won the title from top of the table since Peterborough in 2021.

Kurtz and Blodorn have the Polish playoffs on their mind.   Kurtz and Doyle have the final GP on their minds.  No Ipswich riders have any other distractions.

Ipswich have been to second-placed Leicester and turned them over at home to make the playoffs, so they can up their game when needed.   

I wouldn't be writing them off.  A 12-14 point win tonight and it could be game on for the second leg.

I think King is a match for Kildemand and the reserves i would say Edwards and Tate could have a good or bad meeting Tate has been in good form though, Cairns has dropped off a little maybe the season catching up with him a bit riding in Europe? Pedersen could win that one and Norick was off it at BV against Sheffield but did pull out one good ride towards the end. As you say anything can happen on the night. I think Ipswich will get the win but would like to think we wont be further than 10 points behind. Play offs are a different ball game though as we have found out all to well when finishing top before.

I'd be surprised if the Witches manage to win on the night let alone by enough to still be in with a shout

Even if some catastrophic events took place for the Aces and the Witches were to win by 20 the Aces would still be favourites overall

Ha ha those were the days spanked every week, Simmo and Barker came in and we had a powerhouse team must have been 4-5k for first home meeting and as ever with Lynn it all fell apart about half way through the season Bo Peterson went from unbeatable around Saddlebow Road to truly terrible , John Davis would leave gaps on the inside you could sail the titanic through and Lance King started like the heir to Penhall but then had loads of niggling injuries that set him back.

I was a regular from 1984 - 1993 was 22-23 when I stopped going as discovered night clubs as a Saturday night alternative but had some great times in my late teens travelling around the country with my oldest friend and his dad. I was a die hard for those years but it amazes me how many other die hards I know who used to go every week no longer go granted a lot are in mid 70's to early 80's now.

Do you remember Einar he would either nearly kill himself or someone else most meetings he was all over the place on the bike, got a feeling Travis McGowan who was going to be another big Aussie hope might have signed for Lynn in the season I stopped going bar the odd meeting but over 35 years ago now so memory very hazy.

I seem to remember Einar needing a maximum in his last meeting to come back to the UK in the next year in the nicest possible way I was hoping he wouldn't get it , as he was terrible can't remember if those were Martin Rogers days or Busters must be Rogers.

We used to go over to Peterborough a fair bit as well and can remember a brilliant last heat decided between Ryan Sullivan and Michael Max probably best race I have ever seen, went to Odsal for two world finals again was probably 16 in 86 and again frightening that it was forty years ago.

Kurtz will be fine if he gates but he won’t try if behind understandably 

Shame this season Ipswich are so understrength as we absolutely destroyed a stronger Belle Vue last season
