one of the issues Sheffield have is their stadium availability and more so the unavailability of the back straight terracing which severely restricts the possibility growing attendance & associated revenue.

Can only think they’re wanting to get a TV deal over the line first and that’s still ongoing. Gives them more time to get Eastbourne involved as well although I’m reliably informed that that has run in to issues that are proving difficult to resolve.

Still think personally although not ideal stick with six club top league next year stabalise it get all teams competitive, with a view to getting a support package together to get Eastie in from 2028.

Might not have any choice, the issue with that is it has ramifications for the TV deal. Those of interest want more clubs.

Hopefully if they get it over the line its a decent payout for the clubs but they need to avoid a situation like where the number ones all snaffled 100k+ in the Sky days and then most of them cleared off from the UK when the trough was empty.

And the majority, who run the sport like a hobby, aren't interested in developing the sport beyond their own needs...

If that sort of money appears again use part on the middle guys and put an end doubling up

After years of ever growing brand damaging Guestfests where these very same top riders missed more and more UK meetings to further their own individual ambitions as the GP series grew...

And promoters arranged meetings regardless, knowing some of their best drawcards would be missing..

But still charged the same..
