Edinburgh 2027

Recommended Posts

A strong team for 2027 might look like this:

1  Kye Thomson

2  Paco Castagna

3  Jody Scott

4  Victor Palovaara

5  Anders Rowe

6  ? ? ?

7  Jordy Loftus

It would come to less that 36.00 so still over 4 points to play with for the last rider. I think Jody Scott is going to be a really good rider next season and he races around Ashfield like he's stolen his bike. Anders isn't too bad around there either. Convincing them both to rock up at Armadale would be a tall order though.

Number one and reserves look good but too many unreliables in between.

If Sam Masters is leaving Oxford, could he come back to Edinburgh?

1. Sam Masters

2. 4.00er, Gustav Grahn? Dayle Wood?

3. Jonatan Grahn

4. Paco Castagna

5. Kye Thomson

6. Vinnie Foord

7. Jordy Lotus

I know Paco isn't the most reliable rider ever, but I love him too much to leave him out

I think we’re all assuming the ‘one rider over 8.00’ ruling will be retained meaning Kye Thomson will be the Edinburgh no.1

Don’t think Vinnie will be in the East of Scotland next year.

If Eastbourne return he will probably end up down south, as one of his long time sponsors is part of the consortium hoping to bring back the eagles

Doubt Eastbourne will be at the tapes in 2027

Rumour seems to be that Eastbourne would ride in the Premiership if a deal is reached. Given the new rules on u21 riders rule there is a good chance Vinnie Foord could ride for the Eagles and a Champ team in 2027 (and possibly an NDL team as well)

I'm bored

Riss would surely have to be a risk given how the last two years have gone for him health wise. If he’s overcome them then there’s a pretty good rider in there.

I like this line up. Keeps majority of team together, 2 to 5 & 2 to reserves very interchangeable. Much like the Scunthorpe Team make up that won the league this season.  It would need some kinda of Poole mega team from this season to beat this Monarchs team around Armadale.
